Prophecies Yeshua Fulfilled
arthsepd.gif (789 bytes)

By now we've dealt with ten of the most common Jewish objections to of Nazareth, best known by
his Hebrew name, Yeshua the Messiah. They were:

  1. Yeshua did not fulfill any of the Messianic Prophecies — He did
  2. Judaism does not believe in a Messiah dying for the sins of the world — They do
  3. Yeshua did not re-gather the lost tribes or rebuild the Temple — That's a late objection ,coming 1200 years after Yeshua came; but Yeshua will do all this on his return
  4. Judaism does not believe animal sacrifice is the only atonement for sins — That's not what the Rabbis say — it does believe
  5. Yesha’yahu 53 has to do with the Jewish people, not the Messiah — That's not what the Rabbis say; They say it has to do with Messiah
  6. The Jewish people don't need Yeshua — They do
  7. You cannot believe in Yeshua and still be a Jew — You can
  8. If Yeshua is Messiah, why don't more Jews believe in him? — Many do
  9. Jews don't believe in a Son of Eloheim. — They do
  10. A Virgin cannot give birth — Eloheim can do anything

At this point, just about all of the major objections have been answered. There's really no longer any excuse for not accepting Yeshua as King Messiah — But I'll Keep going! There are over 500 prophecies that prove Yeshua is the Messiah. I won't list them all, but I'll show you many of them that will prove it in your mind!

Prophecy #1: The time of Messiah prophesied:

Dani'el 9:24-26
24Seventy septets1 have been decreed upon your people and upon your holy city to terminate transgression, to end sin, to wipe away iniquity, to bring everlasting righteousness, to confirm the visions and prophets, and to anoint the Holy of Holies. 25Know and comprehend: From the emergence of the word to return and to build Jerusalem until the anointment of the prince will be seven septets2 and for sixty-two septets it will be rebuilt, street and mote, but in troubled times. 26Then after the sixty-two septets, the anointed one will be cut off and will exist no longer; the people of the prince will come will destroy the city and the Sanctuary; but his end will be [to be swept away as] in a flood. Then, until the end of the war, desolation is decreed.

This prophecy rules out every claimant to Messiah except Yeshua. From the time of the rebuilding of Jerusalem the time limit was 490 years until Messiah's coming. This puts it right in the time frame of the Second Temple, in the  days of Herod. If Yeshua is not the Messiah, then the Messiah just isn't coming, because he's about 1,900 years late! This rules out every claimant to Messiah except Yeshua.

Prophecy #2: Messiah to be the seed of the Woman

B’reshit 3:15
15I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will pound your head, and you will bite his heel

19One from Jacob shall rule and destroy the remnant of the city

Yesha’yahu 11:10

10It shall be on that day that the descendant of Jesse who stands as a banner for the peoples, nations will seek him, and his resting place will be glorious.

After the Destruction of the Beit Ha'Miqdash in C.E. 70, there was no longer any way for anyone to claim they were Mashiach! With the genealogy records destroyed, you cannot now prove you were a descendant of David!

Prophecy #7: Messiah to be a prophet like Moshe

Commandment 9
D’varim 18:15-19

15A prophet from your midst, from your brethren, like me, shall HASHEM, your God, establish for you — to him shall you hearken. 16According to all that you asked of HASHEM, your God, in Horeb on the day of the congregation, saying, I can no longer hear the voice of HASHEM, my God, and this great fire I can no longer see, so that I shall not die.

17Then HASHEM said to me: “They have done well in what they have said. 18I will establish a prophet for them from among their brethren, like you, and I will place My words in his mouth; He shall speak to them everything that I will command him. 19And it shall be that the man who will not hearken to My words that he shall speak in My name, I will exact from him.

1For the conductor, on the aiyeles hashachar,3 a psalm by David. 2My God, My God, why have You forsaken me; why so far from saving me, from the words of my roar? 3O My God! I call out by day, but You answer not; and by night, but there is no respite for me. 4Yet You are the Holy One, enthroned upon the praises of Israel. 5In You our fathers trusted, they trusted and You delivered them. 6To You they cried out and they were rescued; in You they trusted and they were not shamed. 7But I am a worm and not a man, scorn of humanity, despised of people. 8All who see me, deride me; they open wide with [their] lip, they wag [their] head. 9If one commits himself to HASHEM, He will deliver him! He will rescue him, for He desires him! 10For You are the One Who drew me forth from the womb, and made me secure on my mother's breasts. 11I was cast upon You  from birth, from my mother's womb You have been my God. 12Be not aloof from me for distress is near, for there is none to help. 13Many bulls surround me, Bashan's mighty ones encircle me. 14They open their mouths against me like a tearing, roaring lion. 15I am poured out like water, and all my bones became disjointed; my heart is like wax, melted within my innards. 16My strength is dried up like baked clay, and my tongue cleaves to my palate; in the dust of death You set me down. 17For dogs have surrounded me; a pack of evildoers has enclosed me, like [the prey of] a lion and are my hands and my feet. 18I can count all my bones; they look on and gloat over me. 19They divide my garments among themselves, and cast lots for my clothing. 20But You, HASHEM, be not far. O my Strength, hasten to my assistance! 21Rescue my soul from the sword, my essence from the grip of the dog. 22Save me from the lion's mouth as You have answered me from the horns of the reimim.4 23I will proclaim Your Name to my brethren; in the midst of the congregation I will praise You. 24You who fear HASHEM, praise Him! All of you, seed of Jacob, glorify Him! Be in awe of Him, all you seed of Israel. 25For He has neither despised nor loathed the supplication of the poor, nor has He concealed His face from him; but when he cried to Him, He heard. 26From You is my praise in the great congregation; I will fulfill my vows before those who fear Him. 27The humble will eat and be satisfied, those who seek HASHEM will praise Him — your hearts will live forever. 28All the ends of the earth will remember and turn back to  HASHEM, and He rules the nations. 29For the kingship belongs to HASHEM, and He rules the nations. 30All the fat ones of the earth will eat and bow down; all who descend to the dust will kneel before Him, it will be told of the Lord to the latter generation. 31About the seed of those who have serve Him, it will be told of the Lord to the latter generation. 32They will come and relate His righteousness, to the newborn nation that which He has done.

Mizmor 68:19-20(18-19)
19(18)You ascended on high, You have taken captives, You took gifts of man and even of rebels, to dwell with Yah, God 20(19)Blessed is the Lord, day b day He burdens (with the weight of His bounty and kindness) the God of our salvation,                                                                                                  Selah

Look up this verse in the Hebrew.

Yesha’yahu 8:14-15
14He shall be a sanctuary, but also a striking stone and a stumbling rock, for the two houses of Israel; a trap and a snare for the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 15And many people will stumble over them; they will fall down and be broken, trapped and ensnared.

Yesha’yahu 28:16

16Therefore, thus said my Lord  HASHEM God: Behold, I am laying a stone for a foundation in Zion: a sturdy stone, a precious cornerstone, a secure foundation. Let the believer not expect it soon.

Yesha’yahu 8:23-9:6(9:1-7)
8:23(9:1)For he was not wearied the first the [the land] was distressed, when [Assyria] exiled the land of Zebulon and the land of Naphtali, but the last time [Assyria] will be severe, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, the region of the nations.

9:1(2)The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelled in the land of the shadow of death, light has shone upon them. 2(3)You exalted the nation; You increased its joy. They rejoiced before You like the joy of harvest time, as they would exult when they divide the spoils. 3(4)For the yoke of its burden and the staff on its shoulder, the rod that oppressed them, You smashed like the day of Midian. 4(5)For all tumultuous battles are fought with an uproar, and the garments wallow in blood, but [Sennacherib] became a blaze and was consumed by fire. 6For a child has been born to us, a son has been given to us, and the dominion will rest on his shoulder; the Wondrous Advisor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, called his name Sar-shalom [Prince of Peace]; 6(7)upon the on with the greatness in dominion and the boundless peace that will prevail on the throne of David and on his kingdom, to establish it and sustain it through justice and righteousness, from now to eternity. The zealousness of HASHEM, Master of Legions, will accomplish this!

Prophecy #19: Messiah will be meek and mild

Yesha’yahu 42:1-3
1Behold My servant, whom I shall uphold; My chosen one, whom My soul desired; I have placed My spirit upon him so he can bring forth justice to the nations. 2He will not shout nor raise his voice, nor make his voice heard in the street. 3He will not break [even] a bruised reed nor extinguish flickering flax; but he will administer justice in truth.

Yesha’yahu 53:7
7He was persecuted and afflicted, but he did not open his mouth; like a sheep being lead to the slaughter or a ewe that is silent before her shearers, he did not open his mouth.

Prophecy #20: Messiah will minister to the Gentiles

Yesha’yahu 42:1

1Behold My servant, whim I shall uphold; My chosen one, whom My soul desired; I have placed My spirit upon him so he can bring forth justice to the nations [Gentiles].

Yesha’yahu 49:1-8

1Listen to me, O islands, and hearken, O distant regimes: HASHEM summoned me from the belly; He mentioned my name from my mother's womb. 2He made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand He hid me; He made me like a smooth arrow, in His quiver He concealed me. 3He said to me: “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I take glory. 4But I said, “I have toiled in vain and used up my strength for nothingness and naught; however, my judgment is with HASHEM and [the reward for] my accomplishment is with My God.” 5And now HASHEM says, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, to bring Ya'akov back to Him, so that Yisra'el is gathered to Him (For I shall be glorious in the eyes of HASHEM, and my God shall be My strength), 6Indeed He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant to raise up the tribes of Ya'akov, and to restore the preserved ones of Yisra'el; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, that You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.”

7Thus said HASHEM, the Redeemer of Israel and their Holy One, to the despised soul, to the one loathed by nations, to the servant of rulers: “Kings will see [you] and arise; officers will prostrate themselves, because of HASHEM, Who is faithful, Holy One of Israel, Who has chosen you.

8Thus said HASHEM: “In a time of favor I answer you, and on a day of salvation I assist you; I will protect you, and I will make you the people of the covenant, to restore the land and to cause you to inherit desolate heritages,

Prophecy #22: The Suffering Messiah Brings Salvation

Yesha’yahu 52:13-15

13Behold, My servant will succeed; he will be exalted and become high and exceedingly lofty. 14Just as multitudes were astonished over you [saying], His appearance is too marred to be a man's, and his visage to human, 15so will the many nations exclaim about him, and kings will shut their mouths [in amazement], for they will see that which had never been told to them, and will perceive things they had never heard.

Yesha’yahu 53:1-12

1Who would believe what we have heard! For whom has the arm of HASHEM been revealed? 2Formerly he grew like a sapling or like a root from arid ground; he had neither form nor grandeur; we saw him, but without such visage that we could desire him. 3He was despised and isolated from men, a man of pains and accustomed to illness. As one from whom we would hide our faces; he was despised, and we had no regard for him. 4But in truth, it was our ills that he bore, and our pains that he carried — but we had regarded him diseased, stricken by God and afflicted! 5He was pained because of our rebellious sins and oppressed through our iniquities; the chastisement upon him was for our benefit. 6We have all strayed like sheep, each of us turning his own way, and HASHEM inflicted upon him the iniquity of us all.

7He was persecuted and afflicted, but he did not open his mouth; like a sheep being led to the slaughter or a ewe that is silent before her shearers, he did not open his mouth. 8Now that he has been released from captivity and judgment, who could have imagined such a generation? For he had been removed from the land of the living, an affliction upon them that was my people's sin. 9He submitted himself to his grave like wicked men; and the wealthy [submitted] to his executions, for committing no crime and with no deceit in his mouth.

10HASHEM desired to oppress him and He afflicted him; if his soul would acknowledge guilt, he would see offspring and live long days and the desire of HASHEM would succeed in his hand. 11He would see [the purpose] and be satisfied with his soul's distress. With his knowledge My servant will vindicate the Righteous One to multitudes; it is their iniquities that he will carry. 12Therefore, I will assign him a portion from the multitudes and he will divide the mighty as spoils — in return for having poured out his soul for death and being counted among the wicked, for he bore the sin of the multitudes, and prayed for the wicked.

Prophecy #23: The New and Everlasting Covenant

Yesha’yahu 55:3
3Incline your ear and com to Me; listen, and your soul will be rejuvenated; I will make an eternal covenant with you, the enduring kindnesses [promised to] David 4Behold, I have appointed him as a witness over the regimes, a prince and a commander to the regimes. 5Behold, you will summon a nation you had not known, and a nation that had not know you will run to you; for the sake of HASHEM, your God, for the Holy One of Israel, Who has glorified you.

Yirme’yahu 31:30-32(31-33)

30(31)Behold, days are coming the Word of HASHEM when I will seal a new covenant with the House of Israel and with the House of Judah; 31(32)not like the covenant that I sealed with their forefathers on the day that I took hold of their hand to take them out of the land of Egypt, for they abrogated My covenant, although I became their Master — the Word of HASHEM. 32For this is the covenant that I shall seal with the House of Israel after those days — the Word of HASHEM I will place my Torah within them and I will write it onto their heart; I will be a God for them and they will be a people for Me.

They will then be called "elms of righteousness, the planting of HASHEM in which to glory. 4They will rebuild the ancient ruins, the wastelands of former times they will restore; they will renew ruined cities, generations-old wastelands. 5Foreigners will stand and tend your flocks and the sons of the stranger will be your plowmen and your vineyard workers. 6And you will be called "priests of HASHEM"; "ministers of our God. will be said of you. You will eat the wealth of the nations and will pride yourselves in their glory. 7Instead of your shame which was double and disgrace which they will bemoan as their portion; therefore, they will inherit a double portion in their land, and eternal gladness will be theirs.

8For I am HASHEM, Who loves justice and hates a Olah-Offering [bought] with robbery; and I will repay their deeds in truth and I will seal an eternal covenant with them. 9Their offspring will be known among the nations, and their descendents amid the peoples; all who see them will recognize them, that they are the seed that HASHEM has blessed.

10I will rejoice intensely with HASHEM, my soul will exult with my God, for He has dressed me in the raiment of salvation, in a robe of righteousness has He cloaked me, like a bridegroom who exalts [himself] with splendor, like a bride who bedecks herself with jewelry. 11For, as the earth sends forth its growth and as a garden sprouts forth is seedlings, so will my Lord HASHEM God, cause righteousness and praise to sprout in the presence of all the nations.”

1 Dani'el 9:24. Literally "seventy weeks", this phrase refers to seventy times seven years, or 490 years. This refers to the seventy years of exile that have passed from the Destruction of the First Temple until this vision, and the entire 420 year period of the Second Temple (Rashi).

2 Dani'el 9:25. The "septets" refer to full seven-year periods. The prince of this verse is Cyrus, who gave permission to rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple. He ascended to the throne fifty-two years (seven full septets plus three years) after the exile had begun. From then until the second destruction of Jerusalem was 438 years, or sixty-two septets and four years (Rashi).

3 Mizmor 22:1. Aiyeles hashachar is a musical instrument.

4 Mizmor 22:22. The reimim are exceptionally powerful, horned beasts (see Mizmor 29:6), variously identified as buffaloes, rhinoceroses, unicorns, etc.
