Yeshua — The Hidden Manna
arthsepd.gif (789 bytes)

What about Gematria? Judaism has always found unique things hidden inside the words of Torah by counting letters, and finding other words hidden inside the verses that give meaning to Jewish tradition. If Y'shua is really the Messiah, there must be something inside the Torah to prove it!

B’reshit — In The Beginning. Starting in the first word (you'll need to know Hebrew to do this), from the first Yod ( י ), count every 521 letters, and write them down. It spells out  שׁוּע. Five hundred and twenty-one is the Gematria count for Eshkar (tribute), the homage paid to a king. When Yeshua was only two years old, Gentile kings came to visit him with Tribute (gold, levonah & Myrrh, and anointing oils). They understood Mashiach means Anointed One; therefore, they thought they were bringing the oils to anoint him with! (Kind of cute when you think about it). King Messiah is prophesied to receive tribute from Kings of the Earth upon his return as well.

B’reshit 2:20, starting from the Mem ( ם ) in Adam's name, and count every 101 letters  they spell מ שׁ י ח Mashiach. Messiah is called in New Covenant writings the second Adam. The reasoning is that sin entered the world through the man, Adam. But Sin is destroyed forever for those who receive it by the second Adam, King Messiah Yeshua.

B’reshit 2:18

18HASHEM God said, “It is not good that man be alone; I will make him a helper corresponding to him.

Starting from the Ayin ( ע ), counting 138 letters three times from left to right, spells, Y'shua. Now we see that Messiah and יֵשׁוּעָ are directly linked to the prototype, Adam. The title, Son of Eloheim, ben Eloheim, has a gematria of 138. This is the exact count of the above combination.

B’reshit 2:22
22Then HASHEM God fashioned the side that He had taken from the man (ish) into a woman (Isha), and He brought her to the man.

The Hebrew word for brought is y'vi'ehah, which is the same word used when a Jewish father gives his daughter away in marriage. Starting with the first Lamed ( ל ), in verse 23, counting 43 letters four times from left to right spells, 'Y'shua, which means, to (for) Y'shua. The Hebrew word for deep sleep is tar'daimah. Starting with the Mem ( מ ), counting 49 letters three times from left to right, spells, Mashiach. We see by these combinations, that the ultimate fulfillment would take place in the far distant future from A'dam and Chavah.

B’reshit 3:20-21

20The man called his wife's name Chavah, because she had become the mother of all living.
21And HASHEM God made for Adam and his wife garments of skin, and He clothed them.

Starting from the last Yod ( י ) in the first line, counting nine letters three times from left to right, spells, HASHEM. Starting with the last Heh ( ה )in the first line, counting nine letters five times from right to left spells, Yoshiah, which means, He will save. From the dawn of sin, Eloheim had made provisions for the deliverance of mankind, starting with Adam and Chavah unto the consummation of the ages. We can see by the two above combinations of the nine-count, that HASHEM had made a provision for their Salvation. The Hebrew word Yoshiah, is another name for Y'shua (Jesus).

The coats of skin: The Hebrew word for skin is or, which means, leather, skin, hide, light. From the Ayin ( ע ) in or, counting every seventh letter from right to left, spells, Y'shua. This was a picture of the covering of Salvation (Y'shua). Notice, Eloheim sacrificed an innocent animal for the covering of Adam and Eve, while they were in their sin and rebellion.

The Hebrew word for bridegroom is chatan חתן. Counting 25 letters three times from left to right, starting with the Chet ( ח ) in Bridegroom, spells, Mashiach. So we see by this combination that the Messiah is the Bridegroom, and all believers compose the bride.

Yochanan 3:27-29
27Yochanan (the Immerser) answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. 28You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Messiah, but,I have been sent before Him. 29He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled.

Sh’mot 25:1-9

1HASHEM spoke to Moses, saying: 2Speak to the Children of Israel and let them take for Me a portion1 from every man whose heart motivates him you shall take My portion. 3This is the portion that you shall take from them: gold, silver, and copper; 4and turquoise, purple, and scarlet wool; linen and goat hair; 5red-dyed ram skins, tachash skins, acacia wood; 6oil for illumination, spices for the anointment oil and the aromatic incense; 7shoham stones and stones for the settings, for the Ephod and the Breastplate. 8They shall make a Sanctuary for Me — so that I may dwell among them — 9like everything that I show you, the form of the Tabernacle and the form of all its vessels; and so shall you do.

Previously, I spoke about the coats of skins Eloheim made for Adam and Eve and how we found Y'shua in a combination of the seven-count. By using the same method of analysis, we again find Y'shua associated with the skins of a sacrificial animal. In Sh’mot 25:5, starting with the second Ayin ( ע ) in the Hebrew word for skin, counting every 219th letter from left to right, spells Y'shua. From the same Ayin (  ע ), counting every 219th letter from right to left (in reverse), spells ha'yorah emmet — teach the truth. Putting it all together we have, Y'shua, the teacher of truth. Y'shua ha'yorah emmet.

B’reshit 4:3-4
3After a period of time, Cain brought an offering to HASHEM of the fruit of the ground; 4and as for Abel, he also brought the firstlings of his flock and from their choicest. HASHEM turned to Abel and to his offering,

HASHEM was pleased with Abel's sacrifice, because it was a complete offering with blood. This was a picture of the ultimate sacrifice of the precious blood of Y'shua, the Lamb of Eloheim. This was the third time the blood of innocence was shed; first, with A'dam, when his side was opened to bring forth the rib; the second time was when Eloheim sacrificed an innocent animal for the covering of Adam and Chavah; third, when Abel made the Olah-Offering to HASHEM of the innocent firstling of his flock. Eloheim was the first to shed the innocent blood of a human (Adam), when He brought forth his bride, and it was Eloheim who ultimately allowed the sacrifice of His own Son, Y'shua Ha'Mashiach, for the sins of the whole world, and when He purchased His bride, the believers.

The word in Hebrew used for looked is Yishah , which means, to look with compassion. Also, it is another way of spelling, Y'shua. We can readily see by this insight that Y'shua was the type played by Abel and the Lamb. Cain killed his brother, Abel, which is a picture of when Y'shua's kinsmen would kill Him.

B’reshit 4:9-10

9HASHEM said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?”
And he said, “Am I my brother's keeper?

10Then He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground!

The Hebrew phrase "the voice of your brother's blood, kol d'mai achkah" gives us an insight to Whom HASHEM was ultimately referring. Starting with the Mem ( ם ) in the blood, d'mai, counting every seventh letter from left to right, spells, Mashiach emet, which means, Messiah the Truth.

Z’kharyah 12:10
10I will pour it out on the house of David and upon the inhabitant of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplications. They will look toward Me because of those whom they have stabbed; they will mourn over him as one mourns over an only [child], and be embittered over him like the embitterment over a [deceased] firstborn

Starting with the Chet ( ח ) in the phrase, "an only child, ha'yachid", counting 38 letters three times from left to right, spells, Mashiach. By this combination the portrayal of Cain and Abel, who were brothers, will have its complete fulfillment when Y'shua Ha'Mashiach returns and receives His brothers ( Israel ) with Compassion and Love.

The life of Methuselah, M'tushalach is talked about as much as any man that ever lived besides Y'shua. The reason for this is that he lived longer than any other man. His father was Enoch, Cha'nok, who was translated 300 years after he fathered M'tushalach and was not, for Eloheim took him. In B’reshit 5:22, starting with the Chet ( ח ) in Cha'nok's name, counting 129 letters three times from right to left, spells, Mashiach. M'tushalach lived to a ripe old age of 969 years. According to tradition, he died seven days before the great flood of Noah's time, when Eloheim poured out His wrath upon a sinful and rebellious world.

B’reshit 7:11

11In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth; and the windows of the heavens were opened.

Eloheim promised Noah that he and his family would be saved if they entered the ark when He commanded them. Starting with the second Tav ( ת ) , counting 130 letters six times from right to left, spells, toshiyam, which means, you will save them. The Hebrew word toshi Hashem, means, Salvation by Eloheim through a Man; and Y'shua is that Man. This is another phrase representing יֵשׁוּעָand His Will to save all who enter the Ark (Y'shua) of Salvation. In B’reshit 6:20, starting with the first
Bet ( ב ), counting 13 letters four times from right to left, spells, b'Mashiach, which means, In Mashiach. From the context of this Scripture, none would be saved unless they were in the ark. We can readily understand by the combination b'Mashiach, none will be saved unless they are in Him.

All of the above can be found in the book, "Y'shua (The Name of Jesus in the TaNaKh)" (Frontier Research Publications, 1996 ISBN 0-921714-34-3), by Yacov Rambsel. I've added a couple of my own notes, but the bulk comes from the book. I heartily recommend this book to everybody.

There are many more examples, but there's not enough space to give them all! Ya'akov Rambsel has found the name of Y'shua encoded in Torah 10,000 times (Are you sure you'd really want to look all that up?) Some startling ones are in Yesha’yahu 53, where it spells out "Y'shua is my name", and in Vayikra 17, "Behold, the Blood of Y'shua" (Hiney Ha'dam Y'shua).
