Helen is a Professional Registered Parliamentarian of the National Association of Parliamentarians. 

She has served as President of the Virginia State Association of Parliamentarians, the Virginia Tidewater Unit NAP, and the Golden Gavel Unit NAP.  In the National Association of Parliamentarians Helen has served as a member of the Board of Directors, as the Review Chairman for National Parliamentarian magazine, as the Workshop Chairman, as a member of the Education Committee, as Resolutions Chairman, and presented a workshop at the national convention in Orlando, Florida. 

As a professional parliamentarian Helen serves organizations on all levels world-wide.  She serves conventions, writes bylaws, renders formal parliamentary opinions, answers inquiries, conducts workshops and seminars, performs parliamentary research, speaks to groups, performs installation ceremonies, writes articles on parliamentary procedure, performs leadership and parliamentary training, and teaches.  Helen's articles have been published in journals and trade news publications.
