5.) RETRACTABLE FOOTREST

This is by far the most extreme and difficult (to make, not to install) modification. To install you just bolt it on the chair.

It is very stout. I know for sure a 170 pound person can stand on it and only flatten the front tires. This is the well known brother-in-law test. It didn't even hardly deflect at that load.

The outer footrest platform slides in and out on the center tubing mount three inches. This is to aid turning around in very tight spaces. The casters will hit the slid in platform when backing up. But no sweat, if you are backing up you don't need the platform retracted. Just push it out to the more comfortable extended position.

Currently the prototype platform you see in the picture here is just painted. My plan is to find a mold shop that can apply a "store bought" looking textured top surface.
