ORB-25 was launched at 0741 CDT from KAW Technical School in Topeka, Kansas.
It ascended at 1300 fpm to an altitude of 60,000 ft. On the chase, and when the balloon was about 5,000 feet on descent, I got stopped for speeding by a local sheriff between Ottowa & Princeton on Hwy-59. After a short delay that seemed like an eternity, and no ticket :) , We were back on the road. Landing was 4.25 miles east of Hwy-59 (Princeton) on John Brown Rd. in a tree about 20 feet off the ground. We were able to drive to it and make the recovery. Back at the Pizza Hut in Garnett I discovered that there was 1 sec of video on the Jazz camcorder and that was of the camera being lowered into the capsule. I must have pressed the stop button inadvertantly. There were 50 pics on the still camera.
