ORB-13 was
launched at 09:01 CDT and burst occurred around 80,000
feet. It was spotted
descending at 2,000 feet about 1/2 mile from our position.
Landing occurred at 11:17 CDT.
Unfortunatly, the landing site was on the other
side of the Neosho river from us. It took until 1:45 pm
to recover it due to few
roads to get across the river. We hiked 3/4 mile through
rocky and hilly terrain to the
landing site which was in an open hay meadow
along the river. All recovery personnel exited the woods
at 3pm.
