April 18: On to Michigan
We said goodbye to Uncle Walter fairly early, then rode off through Chicago traffic
in a rainstorm to finally cross into Eastern Time Zone.
Stopped to visit my aunt and uncle outside Kalazmoo. They have a GREAT bird-watching area
in their backyard. No pictures of that, but it was really impressive.
The dogs are getting smaller as we move east.
We finally made it to my parents' house in Michigan, where we can stop for a few days
and rest - or could if Lauren knew the meaning of the word. Here she is helping Grandma
in the kitchen, wearing the new smock that was waiting for her there in the package from
Auntie.
