The Joe
Niekro Foundation is committed to aiding in the research and
treatment of aneurysm patients and families. Our goal is to raise
awareness about aneurysm factors, causes, treatments and research.
All funds are used to educate the public about brain aneurysms, to
support patients and families, and to develop awareness programs and
educational materials for hospitals, clinics, and other institutions
worldwide.
The 2009 Fundraiser held at Minute Maid Park in Houston was a
phenomenal success. Over $400,000 dollars was raised to donate
towards Aneurysm Research. It is Natalie Niekro's passion,
daughter of Joe, to help future generations fight aneurysms by
finding the cause and one day, a cure. You generous support is
appreciated. Keep reading for an easy way to help.
See the many ways you can help by going to the
Donation section of their website.

A Glove of Their Own
A children's book touching hearts across the nation. If you would
like to "Play it Forward" and sell books, $3 for each sale
will be donated to the Joe Niekro Foundation. Use
the the donor code JNF636 Joe Niekro Foundation.

HOMELESSNESS IS NOT A CRIME. DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT IS.
San Diego is a beautiful place in which we live, but on some the beauty is lost. Many San Diegans sleep without shelter, go without adequate food or clothing, and live without hope. Homelessness in the United States has become a problem of epic proportions. Hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children live without shelter, security, or dignity and have nowhere to run.

information on our 2009 "Holiday Magic for Kids"
Christmas party at Golden Hall in San Diego to bless
the homeless and low-income children with Christmas
gifts, surprises, entertainment and food.

"It is the Mission of United One Productions based
in Fresno, CA, to create unity in the community and
to revitalize and restore "Broken" Neighborhoods and
"Broken" souls by providing intervention,
motivation, hope and opportunity for positive growth
and direction, especially for our youth.
This concept has involved close collaboration
between Law Enforcement who make the neighborhood
safe and provide a visible presence so, City and
County agencies and other community based
organizations like United One Productions and other
service agencies can safely enter the neighborhood."
I
had the pleasure of working with the volunteers of
United One on the
Celebrity Golf Tournament held at Carmel
Mountain Ranch Country Club on August 20, 2009.
Their volunteer staff is an amazing group of
dedicated men and women who want to share the what
the Lord has blessed them with, with others.
Please watch for information on the 2010 Celebrity
Golf Tournament and Christian Music Awards "Best of
the Blessed". In the meantime, take a look at
their website and see how you can help.
