"The shortest distance between two people is a straight answer."
Catfish Carruthers
People do
not take new actions or gain new skills by sitting in a class or reading
a book. They have years of practices and patterns in their body that will
not disappear overnight nor will new ones emerge instantaneously. Our programs
are designed to support the 'embodiment' of new skills and practices. Embodiment
is the capacity to act in the moment instead of stopping to remember a
technique or formula. It requires patience, practice and persistence, and
an intervention of sufficient duration and intensity so a new capacity
for action can emerge and endure. Our promise is that the embodiment of
the fundamental concepts you will explore will transform your satisfaction
and effectiveness as an individual and as a member of a family, team, and
business.

"We may begin with a disarmingly simple yet profound strategy for dealing with structural conflict in organizations: telling the truth. Commitment to the truth often seems to people an inadequate strategy. They ask what they need to do to change their behavior. They want a formula, a technique, something tangible that they can apply to solve the problem . . . but in fact, being committed to the truth is far more powerful than any technique."
Peter Senge, The Fifth Discipline
