9. Annie Mae Romero,3 daughter of Villier Romero and Caliste Corner, was born on 08 Sep 1910 in Abbeville, Vermilion, Louisiana, died on 21 Feb 2004 in Lafayette, Lafayette, Louisiana 3 at age 93, and was buried on 23 Feb 2004 in Lafayette, Lafayette, Louisiana.3

Burial Notes: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at a Mass of Christian burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Mrs. Edward Broussard Sr., 93, the former Annie Mae Romero, who died at 12:40 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, in Maison de Lafayette Nursing Home.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The Rev. Keith J. DeRouen, rector of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Karen Broussard, organist, will sing for the services “Ave Maria,” “You Are Near,” “Taste & See,” “Be Not Afraid” and “On Eagle’s Wings.”

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lona Sonnier and her husband, Russell, of Duson; two sons, J. C. Broussard and his wife, Ruby, of Lafayette, and Roland Broussard and his wife, Nettie, of Lafayette; nine grand-children; 19 great-grand-children; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Broussard Sr.; her parents, Villier and Calicia Conner Romero; one son, Edward Broussard Jr.; one grandson, Michael Sonnier; and one great-grandson, Philip Sonnier.

A native of Vermilion Parish and a resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Mrs. Broussard was a member of the St. Genevieve Catholic Community.

She was a Gold Star Mother.

A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. today in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Monday until time of the funeral Mass.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Broussard’s name to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St., Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Maison de Lafayette, Dr. Glen Mire and Dr. Francine Manuel.

Pallbearers are Charles Sonnier, Stephen Sonnier, Robert Sonnier, Kane Thibodeaux, Bennett Broussard and David R. Broussard.

Henry Thamar "Pete" Peterson Sr., son of Henry Edgar Peterson and Willie Paul Bullock, was born on 14 Mar 1915 in Gordon, Houston Co., Alabama, died on 12 Aug 1991 in Lafayette, Lafayette, Louisiana at age 76, and was buried on 14 Aug 1991 in Lafayette, Lafayette, Louisiana. Another name for Henry was Tige.

Noted events in his life were:

• He was discharged from the military Military discharge on 29 Aug 1945 in Camp Shelby, , Mississippi. He was stationed at Jackson Barracks in New Orleans before being discharged.

• His obituary was published in The Daily Advertiser in Lafayette, Lafayette, Louisiana.

Funeral services was held 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Delhomme Northside Chapel for Henry T. Peterson Sr., 76, who idea at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center Monday August 12, 1991 at 6 p.m. The Rev. Lee Perkins, pastor, Northside Baptist Church, will officiate. Entombment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum where members of M.E. Girard Masonic Lodge No. 450 will conduct grave side services.

He was a native of Gordon, Alabama, son of the late Henry E. Peterson and the former Willie Bullock. He had been a resident of Lafayette since 1956. He was owner of Pete's Automotive Repair Service and a member of the Northside Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for many years. Peterson was a member of M.E. Girard Lodge No. 450 F & AM and a veteran of World War II having served in the Army. Survivors include his wife, the former Bernice Levron of Lafayette; one daughter, Mrs. Belinda Brasseaux of Youngsville; two sons, Henry T. Peterson Jr. and Charles Wayne Peterson of Lafayette; one stepson, Douglas J. Orgeron of San Angelo, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. A.H. Godfrey of Lakeland, Florida, Mrs. Callie Boyette of Lakeland, Florida and Mrs. Betty Higson of Lutz, Florida; one brother, C.W. Peterson of Orlando, Florida; and two grandchildren, Kevin and Karen Peterson.

Pallbearers are Huey Miller, Lynn Curry, Bobby Vincent, Lovelace Vincent, Sid Cormier, and Ed Owers, Deacons of Northside Church; Donald Hoffpauir, Alex Gordon, Mike Sonnier, Tommy Miller, O.J. Stanfield, Tommy Morris, Warren Beadle, Larry Walters, J.W. David, and member of the M.E. Girard No.450 F and AM. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m today to service time. Delhomme Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Henry married Dorothy Voncile Culbreth in 1936. The marriage ended in Divorce on 13 Nov 1943.

13. Bernice Marie "Tut" Levron, daughter of Alfred Fredrick Levron and Marie Josephine Leboeuf, was born on 25 Jan 1915 in Montegut, Terrebonne, Louisiana, died on 03 Nov 1994 in Lafayette, Lafayette, Louisiana at age 79, and was buried on 04 Nov 1994 in Lafayette, Lafayette, Louisiana.

Funeral services was held at 2 p.m. Friday Nov. 4, 1994 in Delhomme Northside Chapel for Mrs. Henry T. Peterson Sr., 79, the former Bernice Levron, who idea 4:34 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 1994 at her residence. Entombment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Rev. Mitch Donahue, assisted by the Rev. Lee Perkins, Northside Baptist Church, will officiate.

A native of Bourg, Mrs. Peterson was the daughter of the late Frederick Levron and the former Josephine LeBoeuf. She has been a resident since 1956. Before her retirement in 1976, Mrs. Peterson worked for 20 years as a cook for the Lafayette Parish School system. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church.

Survivors include; one daughter, Belinda Brasseaux; three sons, Henry T. Peterson Jr. and Charles Wayne Peterson, both of Lafayette, and Douglas Orgeron of San Angelo, Texas; one sister, Leona Breaux of Marrero; one brother, Joseph "Jim" Levron of Gretna; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be; Andy Harrison, Alex Gordon, Mike Sonnier, Lynn Curry, Huey Miller, and Ben Clark. The family requests that visitation hours be observed from 8 a.m. to service time Friday. The Delhomme Funeral Home, 1314 Moss St., Northside, are funeral directors in charge of the arrangements.

Bernice married Alphonse J. Orgeron, son of Joachin Orgeron and Guidry, on 08 Feb 1936 in Harvey, Jefferson, Louisiana. The marriage ended in Divorce on 23 Dec 1942. Alphonse was born on 14 Nov 1915 in , Lafourche Parish, Louisiana.
