Welcome to Hunters Happenings website

Welcome to the Hunters Homeowners Association (HHA) website. All homeowners in Hunters Crossing and Hunters Ridge are encouraged to join the association to help support our great subdivision.

The HHA is committed to making our subdivision one of the most desirable areas in Papillion and the Omaha metro area to raise a family. HHA provides several sponsored events each year including an Easter egg hunt, organized garage sales, and a yearly holiday party. Equally important is preserving the value of our homes through the enforcement of our area covenants as well as maintaining and updating the entrances to our neighborhood. Although the city does some of the upkeep, it is up to HHA to make our entrances look inviting.

Thanks for check out our website!

Message from the Presdent:

Hello Homeowners!

My name is Bev Oswald, and I stepped up this year as President because we were in jeopardy of losing the Association. I am a hockey mom; my son, Nick, plays hockey. My daughter, Katie, is also involved in sports. My husband, Dan, works at First Data. I have another son, Josh, who is three years old and really keeps me going. I want to see that our neighborhood stays in the great condition that it’s in, which is why I’m writing to you.

We can’t let Hunter’s Homeowners Association dissolve. If it does, all the money in the treasury goes to the State of Nebraska, the organization is no longer registered with the state, and the IRS would have to be notified. Our neighborhood would go to pot, so to speak. We would no longer have money for mulch, flowers, trees, etc. for our entrances, Monarch Gardens Park, or the walking path. Everyone would be on their own regarding any covenant issues. There wouldn’t be any events for children, adults, and so forth.

You can support HHA now by paying the dues of $25 and become a voting member; and I would love for you to come to the meetings and let your concerns and ideas be heard. We would like to be able to plan exciting adult activities for the fall, and need to hear what you like to do. We would also like to see new officers step up in August. If I can do it, you can too. It doesn’t take a lot of time. At the last meeting there was only a handful in attendance. In 1996 the meetings were held at City Hall attendance was so high. We need your help. I know that everyone is busy, but please make your neighborhood and home interests a priority.

It’s easy to spend $25 and more on just going out to dinner and it makes such a big difference to the neighborhood association. I want to see neighborhood improvements, I know you do too. Come to the next meeting in May and bring your fresh ideas. I, as well as the other officers and volunteers, look forward to meeting you!

                                                                                                Sincerely,

                                                                                    Bev Oswald
