Extra Stuff
There is where we put links and
resources to really help our clients. Sometimes, when we get some hairbrained idea (that doesn't fit anywhere else)...we put it
here too.
Why do we spend so much time and effort training neurological, balance, dynamic
flexibility, speed and power? This quote says it all:
"If
muscles were everything, a bull could catch a rabbit."
Fitday
A GREAT on-line food analyzer. This webpage will NOT guide you as to what to eat, only
tell you the mass input of what you ate. It does take a few weeks to get all of your
favorite custom foods logged in, but then it does a superb job of analyzing what you ate
for professional (and non-professional) review later. Logs in activity as well (based upon
caloric burning estimates) and really does a detailed job of this (just about *everything*
you can think of has an estimated caloric burn rate). Calories in < calories out plus
all necessary nutritional constituants consumed leads to mass loss!
nikerunning
With a few keystrokes, you get a free running and fitness journal, complete with important
information for any serious athlete or even those looking to get and stay in shape (as
long as your favorite shape is NOT a 'dodecahedron' or 'oblong'). OK, so they only have
Nike running shoes in their pull down menus under footwear. They at least DO give you the
option of typing in other brands and models. Most importanly, it allows you to track
'sleep' amounts, perception of intensity and many different forms of exercise and not just
running.
backward-running-backward.com
For anyone who has trained with Paul knows, this website highlights a component of
training that epitomizes what CC&C is all about - take something from the scientific
'cutting edge' and valid for results and then make it 'FUN'. Voila! Backwards running! The
western New England version of MassHockey / USA Hockey Satellites know this all too well
(training with distances of 1-3 miles / session). A must for anyone that believes Paul
thinks up this crazy stuff (it actually is well researched, documented and valid)!!!
