Winnie's Racing Page

Winnie loves LGRA racing!  She entered her first race meet at the IGCA Specialty in Phoenix on March 21st, 2002.  She loved it!!  She didn't earn any points, but we caught the bunny bug.

We headed out to our next trial in Orange, CA on November 16th, 2002.  Here are two photos from the start of the second race.  Winnie was last leaving the box as you see, but she was fast enough to pass up Skinny and Pesto, but not Rollie, who isn't even in the photo!  The results of this race were Rollie in red, Winnie in white, Pesto in green and Skinny in blue.

The final results after three heats was Rollie in 1st, Winnie in 2nd, and Skinny in 3rd.  Winnie earned one Gazehound Race Champion (GRC) point and one half National point (NRC).  Here are all the IG racers after the meet.   That's Winnie taking a snooze and Rollie, Pesto and Skinny in the ex-pen.

Winnie entered her third race meet at the IGCA Specialty in Phoenix on February 27th, 2003.  The weather was rainy and cold, but the six brave IGs that ran that day will go down in history as the Mudders - Rollie, Pesto, Ollie, Marti, Fizz and Winnie.

The final results were:

Best of Breed - Rollie earning 2 NRC points
Best Opposite - Winnie earning 2 GRC and 1 NRC points
3rd place - Marti earning 1 GRC point

Our fourth race meet was on May 18th, 2003, in Orange.  Once again we had a lot of fun with Tammy, Leigh-Anne, Dennis, and the IGs - Rollie, Pesto, Charlie and Skinny.  Here are two photos from the end of the 3rd race.   That's Rollie in red, Winnie in white, and Skinny in Blue.

As you can see from the wide shots of these two pictures, Rollie is waaaaay out in front of Winnie and Skinny.  He has crossed the finish line (the red line) before Winnie and Skinny barely get into the frame of the next photo!  Winnie finished behind Rollie for 1 GRC and 0.5 NRC.

We headed to the two day race in Orange July 19-20, 2003.  First day was Rollie, Pesto, Winnie and Skinny as the starters.   Pesto did his usually fouling, which this time almost pushed poor Skinny into the lure machine!  He was scratched.  That race meet resulted Winnie earning 2nd place with 1 GRC and 0.5 NRC.  The next day, we had a First Time Entered (FTE) of Olive from Chino Valley!  Olive ran well for a FTE and finished all her races!   Winnie ended up in 3rd and earned 0.5 GRC points.
