IN Rescues

Rachel is just about 1 yr old little black and white iggy girl and is very tiny. Rachel originated from a puppymill. She loves to run in the yard , play with the other dogs and loves toys. The foster mom describes her as a very confident girl and very sassy. But with that said when new people come to the foster mom's home she reverts back to being a scared little puppymill girl. With time, patience and maturity Rachel will probably gain more confidence with new people. She has come a long way since being in foster care for just a few months. Foster mom says she bonds very very strongly with her humans in the house and can be very outgoing and bold with them. Foster mom says she is a very cool, silly little girl. Rachel crates well, has good potty habits and does well on a leash. Her foster mom says she is very very intelligent. Rachel really wants a fenced yard because she loves to run and she would like another small very playful little dog.

Blue: Located in Indianapolis, Blue is a very sweet and kind, has downy soft blue-fawn fur, is approximately 16” tall and about 17 lbs. At first Blue can be a bit apprehensive towards new situations, however he enjoys going for walks, and playing fetch with his toys. Blue is extremely smart and is responding to training very quickly, has already learned to sit for treats. When he was turned into the shelter by his previous owner it was reported his age to be 10. At his medical exam, the doctor determined Blue is only about 2-4 years old. He is currently on medication for an infection, it was discovered he had a bee-bee in his tail, the tail appears to be broken and he also possibly has a broken/cracked rib. For a dog that was most likely mistreated, he is responding well with the care and attention he is receiving in his foster home.

Sadie (located in Indianapolis) is a four year old beautiful 10 pound female who was rescued from a puppy mill situation. She is still very scared of new environments, abrupt sounds, open spaces, and new people. She intimidated with children, but not aggressive. Sadie is very motivated to be someone's companion. She loves to cuddle and she enjoys car rides. Sadie would be well suited with a quite or low key family environment. Sadie demonstrates good potty habits and is currently trained outside, but will use a potty pad. She is crate trained and prefers refuge time in her crate. However, current foster mom is working on breaking old familiar habits by encouraging time with the family, outside play, and lots of positive reinforcement to raise her self esteem. Potential adopting family would need to be a loving family that would be willing to understand Sadie's hardship and willing to continue working on her socialization. Sadie is leash trained. Up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, spayed, and has had a complete dental.

	Maia is a very pretty 2-3 yr old Iggy girl who came in with the Wisconsin 57 last year. Maia is sweet but somewhat shy. Maia is looking for a family with a fenced yard and another little dog for company. Maia is working on her crating skills, has pretty good potty habits and is exceptionally smart. Maia needs someone who can challenge her and keep her from getting bored. Maia still is shy in new situations but will make someone a very loving family member. 	Charlie is 3 yrs old and a very pretty blue and white boy. Charlie is a lover, a real lover. he loves to be with his humans and snuggle and cuddle. Charlie also likes to run and play and would benefit from another playful dog and a fenced yard. Charlie is good with crating, leash walking and is working hard on his potty training. Charlie adores children, especially little ones. He will sit on the couch with the foster mom's grandkids and follow them around. He wants to be wherever the children are, so kids would be good for Charlie Charlie is located in Indiana. 	Maggie is a beautiful little seal/black colored puppymill rescue. Maggie 5 yrs old and very small girl, just about ten pounds. Maggie was turned into a shelter about 6 months ago where they kept her until contacting rescue about a month ago. since coming into rescue Maggie has been working hard on her potty training. she has found that treats and praise make her feel really good! Maggie is learning it feels good as well to be held and snuggled. she is still very wary of being picked up but once in your arms she loves it! Maggie likes to follow you around, in and outside. She loves to see what's going on. Maggie will crate very well especially if you put a treat in it first! As you can see the trend here is Maggie loves treats and is willing to do a lot for them. Maggie is learning to walk on a leash, she isn't really really good at it but she is getting there. After all going from a cage to a home at the age of 5 yrs there is a lot of catching up to do. Maggie loves other dogs, she isn't sure how to play with them yet but she will run around the yard and investigate what they are doing. She is a good observer. Maggie loves to be in the room with people and the other dogs and likes to watch the interaction. With some time and patience Maggie is going to be the love of someone's life and they of hers. She is a little flower just starting to blossom. A fenced yard is a must. 	Zeus is a beautiful male Iggy who is a very pretty red fawn. Zeus is your perfect IG. he is full of energy but he also calms down and wants to snuggle. Zeus is good with other dogs. Zeus has really good potty habits and is crate trained and leash trained. he would love a yard to run around and play in so a fenced yard would be good. Zeus is the type of dog you could take anywhere because he settles right in like has always been there. Zeus is 9 yrs young but one would never know it as active as he is. 	Roscoe is a dark black/seal male ig who is larger in size. roscoe was turned into a vet two years ago and the vet kept him as an office dog. roscoe loves to play with the other ig in the foster home. he crates, leash trained and sweet as can be. roscoe can be shy in new situations but he went to the Iggy 500 fundraiser in June and had a ball. a fenced yard for roscoe is a must because he loves to run. roscoe's potty habits are good. 	Polo is a fawn and white male Iggy who is very playful. polo came in as a stray so little is known about him but polo is busy getting to know everyone. Polo is very social and outgoing. He loves everyone he meets, dogs, kids, adults. polo is approx 4-5 yrs. His foster mom says every day since getting into rescue he acts more and more like a puppy. Polo is working on his crating skills, is leash trained and has reliable potty habits. Polo would love to have a family of his own and maybe another small dog for company or play. 	Liam is a pretty little male ig who is fawn and white with a black shaded mask. liam is teeny at 9.7 pounds and has medium activity level. he loves other Iggies. he adores kitty's. Liam loves to give kisses and likes to push his face into his humans face to get more! Liam has crate issues and can't be crated but does excellent being left out with restricted area while his foster parents work. Liam's potty habits are very good. Liam loves being out in the yard on a sunny warm day and would love a fenced yard and another small dog to play with. he loves snuggling under the covers. since Liam is so small rough and tumble children would not be good for Liam. 	Hank is approx 2 yr old fawn and white larger male Iggy. Hank is a sweet, social and laid back boy. he loves to ride in cars and go places. Hank loves everyone he meets, adults, kids, cats and other dogs. he loves to play but he also likes his quiet time on your lap snuggling and giving kisses. Hanks potty habits are very good. He is dog door trained. Hank is also leash and crate trained. At some point in hank's life he has had his tail cut off. Since he was a stray we don't know his history and it may have been from an accident or intentional. It only adds to Hanks super personality. Hank would like a fenced yard or someone who has time to leash walk him each day for exercise. Hank would love another small dog to play with but likely would do well as an only dog if he gets lots of human time and exercise. There is a possibility hank has just a little bit of something else in him besides being and Iggy. the vet says she feels he is mostly Iggy but whatever else might be in there in got the best of everything because he is such a good boy. 	Shylie is a teeny 8 yr old female that is mostly white with some dark grayish color over her left ear. Shylie is approx 7 teeny pounds. This little girl is a very sweet snuggly girl who would love to be spoiled rotten. Shylie crates well , goes to the door when she has to go potty. She possibly could be potty pad trained. Shylie likes stuffed toys and other dogs. She also likes her clothes. Shylie would not do well with small children due to her tiny frame. Shylie likes go in cars and is pretty social if she thinks your going to spoil her , she also likes to follow you around and be where you are as well.
