Charlie is a beautiful seal boy with white markings on his chest who is about two years old. He is VERY playful and would love, love, love to go to a home that has another small dog for him to play with. He frolics and plays just like a little puppy! He loves to run in the yard and play with his squeaky toys and rawhide bones, too! He would do best with an active family who has time to play with him outside and take him on walks. He does fine with children, but require that they are 8 years or older. He is working on potty training and so far doing well on a regular schedule. Charlie would prefer to have a fenced yard where he is free to run and play as his was born to do. We would prefer to place Charlie in a forever home where his crate time does not exceed a few hours at a time as longer than this stresses him out a bit .

Charlie is neutered, up to date on immunizations and on heartworm preventative. He is located in Leavenworth, Kansas all potential adopters will need to travel there to meet him WE WILL NOT SHIP!!!. For more information contact Debbie at kadcp@stjoelive.com.

Mr. Darcy: Meet Mr. Darcy, a gorgeous 2 year old male Italian greyhound. Mr Darcy was unfortunate enough to find himself as a stud dog in a puppy mill, through a happy chain of events he finds himself now in rescue. Mr. Darcy has not had much positive human socialization, but despite that he comes out of his crate to spend time with his foster brothers and mom. He hangs with the family and is beginning to interact with them more and more. Surprisingly his potty habits are quiet good and is does not mark. He is becoming less skittish when being picked up, although this activity is still not one he is comfortable with. Once picked up he will settle if you hold him and even feel safe enough to fall asleep in your arms. Mr. Darcy will willingly go to his crate and rest quietly while you leave and at night.

Mr. Darcy is neutered, current on immunizations, heartworm negative and on preventative. He is soon to have a dental as well. Mr. Darcy would like a home with a fenced yard as he loves to go outside and investigate his surroundings, even in the cold NW Missouri winters. No small children (over the age of 9 should be OK). Mr. Darcy is located in NW MO and out of state adopters will be considered if they are willing to travel here to meet him. WE WILL NOT SHIP.

This boy will still need love and patience to become the dog he was meant to be but will undoubtedly give you years of companionship in return. If you have the heart and home to share with Mr. Darcy, please contact Deb at kadcp@stjoelive.com

Kermit is a  gorgeous, sweet and loving 2 year old Italian Greyhound boy, that immediately adjusted to his new foster home with 2 other Iggies and an old cat.  He tries to initiate play with the others but they are stick-in-the-muds and do not play much . He  will sweetly go and get toys and play alone however.   Kermit's favorite time is snuggling in the evenings while watching TV.   He enjoys getting under a blanket next to anyone's lap.  It is not uncommon to see him snuggled down along with the other 2 Iggies and the cat in the chair all very happy together.   Kermit has been working on his crate training skills and has made much improvement, although he would much rather sleep under the covers with his new family.  He is also working on his potty habits and is getting quite good at going outside to potty after eating and on a schedule with his foster brother and sister.

Kermit would do best in a family without small children, over the age of 10 would be fine. Kermit also needs to have a fenced yard to play in as he is still very young and active.  He would also do very well in a home with another small dog and gets along fine with cats.

Kermit has been neutered, is current on his immunizations, heartworm negative and on prevention.  For more information on the stunning and sweet boy, contact Deb at kadcp@stjoelive.com.

Soprano:  Meet Soprano, he is a 2 year old red-fawn and white male IG. Soprano loves to play with other dogs and run around in the yard and for that reason must have a fenced in yard. His potty habits are excellent . Soprano is a bit skittish and seems to have some fear of men, for that reason it would be best if he went to a female only home. His foster mom is able to pick him up and pet him, but he shies away from other members of the family when being picked up. The other females in his foster home are able to pet him without problems. Soprano willingly goes to his crate for bed and when his foster family leaves for work. Soprano would like a home without small children, over the age of 10 should be OK. Soprano is not much of a barker, in fact has ot barked once in his foster home. He gets along well with birds and cats as well.

Soprano would do best in a household that does not have a lot of visitors coming and going. He is current on immunizations, heartworm negative and will have a dental before adoption. Soprano is located in the North Kansas City area. Out of state adoptions will be considered if you are willing to go to his foster home to meet him. WE WILL NOT SHIP!! For more information contact Debbie at kadcp@stjoelive.com

Cricket: Meet Cricket, a 1 year old charming female Italian Greyhound. Cricket is a sweet little black and white girl that loves to snuggle with her human. She is also a ball of energy and loves to play with her foster brothers and sisters. Although she has only been in foster care a few days she has already learned to crate readily for meals and when her foster parents go to work, she does prefer to sleep under the covers with her human though at night. Her potty habits are good and will go outside to do her business if kept on a potty schedule or use the piddle pad reliably. Cricket would like a fenced in yard as she is very active and needs to run. A home with older children over the age of 10 would be fine. Cricket is spayed, heartworm negative-on preventative and up to date on her immunizations.

This little girl is all rearing to find her forever home so if interested contact Deb at kadcp@stjoelive.com for more information. Out of state adoptions will be considered IF approved by your local rep and if you are willing to travel to NW MO to meet her-WE WILL NOT SHIP!!!

Konnor needs a fenced yard where he can continue to develop into the athlete this breed is meant to be, he would also enjoy another small dog as he truly enjoys interacting with them. No small children please, over the age of 9 should be fine though. Konnor is crate trained, current on immunizations, on heartworm preventative, and is also neutered.

Ava: Ms Ava is an adorable, smart, and loyal litle black and white female Italian Greyhound approximately 4 months of age as of 4/08. She is current on her shots and has been spayed. She is also on monthly heartworm preventative. She immediately adapted to her foster family of 2 older Iggies and an old cat. She has lots of energy but nightly will snuggle down and watch tv (sleep) with foster mom and family. She enjoys a good play with her foster siblings but when they are tired, she will go by herself and find her toys or chewies to keep herself occupied. Ava is doing wonderful on her potty habits and loves going outside. She plays with her squeaky toys, plays fetch and loves to chew on her chew toys. She has not chewed on anything in the house other than her toys. She interacts wonderfully with the entire family. Ava sits patiently at the shower door as foster mom showers each morning. She loves to put her little nose into the shower to see what exactly is going on inside there. She is very loyal and begs to be loved. Ms. Ava does wonderfully in her crates. She sleeps the entire night without any problems. Ms. Ava will make a wonderful family member. She is wanting to go go permanent home where she can be loved and cherished as a valued family member.

Miss Ava would prefer a fenced yard, and no kids under 9 years of age. For more information on Ava, contact deb at kadcp@stjoelive.com
Hershey: Meet little Mr. Hershey, he was born 12-30-07. Hershey is one of the sweetest little boys his foster mom has ever met and loves to snuggle and cuddle with her. He is still very much a baby and very high energy and romps with his foster brothers constantly. He is crate trained and doing VERY well with his potty habits. Hershey would do best with a fenced yard and another small dog to play with. He would prefer no children under 9 years of age due to the fragility of the breed. Hershey is current on his immunizations, on heartworm preventative and has been neutered. Hershey will most likely end up being a bigger Iggy as at 4 mo he already weighed about 10 pounds.

Hershey is fostered in the Kansas City area and prospective adopters must go there to meet him. WE WILL NOT SHIP!!!!!! For more information on the very special boy contact Deb at kadcp@stjoelive.com

Joey: Meet Joey a lovable male 9-10 year old Italian greyhound. He acts more like a puppy and he's more active than all the dogs in his foster home. Joey loves to be with the other dogs - he barks & barks at his foster brother to get him to run & play with him or when he wants attention. Joey also seem to do well with children. Older children are preferred though, based on this breeds fragility. Joey walks well on lead and is crate trained. His potty habits are good as long as kept on a schedule. Joey needs to go to a home where someone is around most of the time; he has a little bit of separation anxiety, but would do okay as long as he has another dog companion. Joey loves to be with his people and follows his foster mom wherever she goes, and loves to curl up on your lap. Joey would prefer a fenced in yard if possible as he does love to run and play. Joey is fully vetted and recently had a dental, he is also altered. He is heart worm negative and on monthly preventative. Joey also has a slight heart murmur.

Joey is located in Wichita KS and prospective adopters will need to go there to meet him. For more information contact Deb at kadcp@stjoelive.com
