Bella is a beautiful four year-old blue and white female.  She has such big warm brown eyes, you can't help but fall in love with her!  She’s a larger dog, weighing in at 20 lbs. Bella was a mill dog kept in a cage for the first four years of her life without human interaction, so she is still adjusting to her newly found freedom. She’s shy but incredibly sweet and mild-mannered, and she loves gentle affection from her humans. She interacts well with the other IGs in her foster home, but we think she would do well as an only dog, too. She doesn’t yet understand the concept of treats, playing with toys, and other doggy luxuries, but she’s making great strides every day! Bella is working on trusting humans and will need an experienced owner who has the willingness and patience to earn her trust and work with her on adapting to domesticated life. Bella would not do well in a high-energy/noisy home or a home with small children. Bella crates beautifully, travels well, and is doing a great job learning to walk on a leash. Bella’s foster parents are continuing to work with her on her potty training habits, and she has come a long way.  She paces and circles to let you know she has to go out. With supervision, she is doing a great job with potty habits. After a rough start in life, this girl deserves a home where she can be adored and spoiled rotten. Bella is such a sweet and loving girl, and in the right home will blossom, she will make a wonderful companion.

Wylie is a beautiful small dog that is still just under a year.  He is a sweetheart with those he trusts, but he takes time to get there.  He needs a home with a lot of patience and understanding.  He isn't a dog that will love you right away, but once he does he will be glued to you anytime he can!  He is dubious of new people, and would rather hide than meet and greet.  When he is ignored by new people, he is curious and will explore them as long as he is left alone.

He loves to go for walks, and is wonderful on lead.  He likes to go places and do things.  He is up for a long walk, a trip to the dog park, or will just sit in your lap quietly for hours.  He is still a puppy, and has some energy to burn.  A non-human playmate is ideal (cat or dog), but he can entertain himself with toys, tail chasing, and just bouncing around.  He may do ok in a single pet home if a very devoted and patient person is home most of the time.  Wylie has been around small children, and does well as long as he isn't being chased or mobbed.

He would love a home with a fenced yard to explore, although he needs to be watched around fences with small gaps (he can and will squeeze through).  He can and will use a doggie door if one is available.  He will occasionally potty outside, but is not consistent in his outdoor potty habits.   Wylie is litterbox trained, and has exceptional potty skills as long as only positive reinforcement is used.  He is able to manage a longer period of time alone as long as his free space contains a clean litterbox (which will be provided by the foster home).  He does occasionally 'miss' the box (he is a boy)!  So placing it on a hard, easy to clean surface is a must.  A big plus in Wylie's favor is that he does not mark.

Any home interested in Wylie should have or be willing to purchase an exercise pen to aid in his transition.  He does not crate, and is happy to use a closed crate as a potty.  An exercise pen to confine him with his litterbox is needed for an easier transition, while he settles in.  He needs a longer period of time than typical (at least a month, maybe longer depending on the amount of time committed to working with him) for adjusting to a new family.  His current foster home is dedicated to helping his new family through the adjustment.  He is worth the extra effort, because he is so sweet and smart!  He is just waiting for the right people to find him.

Freddie is a nice 15 pound size, and calm for a 2 year old.  He enjoys the company of people and dogs.  At first he felt most at home outside, because he had not been kept as an indoor pet.  He has quickly adapted to the luxuries of being inside.  Considering his previous circumstances, we are happy to report he has excellent potty habits, and overall excellent manners. He will not reliably potty on lead, so a home with a fenced yard is needed at this time.  He also does not like to potty outside when it gets dark, and will generally hold it until morning.  His foster home will continue to work on his potty behavior, and we will update as progress is made.  He will sit, and wag excitedly if you have something he thinks he might want.

He is attentive, and loves to focus on you when you talk to him.  Food and praise are both highly motivational, and he is a bright dog that learns new things quickly.  He loves to sleep in the bed, curled up right next to you.  He is working on his leash skills, and pulls a little when excited.  Freddie loves to play with the other IGs in his foster home (he likes big dogs too), and chases and wrestles happily.  He interacts well with small kids, and is fine with calm cats also.  He also comes up to give hugs, and pushes his head into your hands for petting.  He is really just a wonderful, happy dog, that appreciates his new lease on life.

Peanut is about as cute as they come!  He is a sweet dog, and a pro on his crate training.  He currently is working on leash training in his foster home, and he will benefit from having a fenced yard for potty time.  His potty habits are great, but he does mark occasionally.  A belly band and some brush up training in his new home should do the trick (also his upcoming neuter should help).  He is a little shy with new people, but once he warms up he is fine.  He does not handle large groups of people well at all, so a home that is low traffic is a must.  He knows how to come when called, and gives kisses!  He loves to play with other dogs and snuggle up with his people.  He would be a great addition to most families!
