Strider and Precious are two one year old littermates turned into rescue in El Paso, TX, in January 2003.  They were turned in by their owner due to changes in their life and they could not longer keep them.  That is Precious, a female, on the left and Strider, a male, on the right.

Miette is an 8-9 year old blue fawn female, placed in Payson in January 2003.  Miette was found as a stray in Las Vegas and turned into rescue when her owner couldn't be found.  Miette, now named Mini, happily lives on a big ranch with several doggie playmates, including Bug, her IG playmate.

Dante, a 1 year old blue male, placed in Cave Creek in January.  Dante was turned into IGCA rescue in Missouri, where he had already had several owners that couldn't care for him.  We found a good home for him here in Arizona.  His owners flew over to meet him and bring him home to live with their other IG, Coco.

Jacque, a 5 year old red fawn male, placed in Phoenix in March.  Jacque was turned into rescue when one of his owners died and the other couldn't care for him and another IG, Jazzer, and left them outside.  Jacque is a timid dog, probably due to his lack of socialization early in his life.  He loves the companionship of other dogs and is starting to play.  He happily lives in his new home with an IG/Chihuahua mix and a Cattle dog.

Grace, a 5 month old blue pied female, placed in Scottsdale in June.  Grace was turned into rescue in Las Vegas because her owner could not housebreak her.  We found a great home for Grace here in Arizona with the family that adopted Penny in July 2002.

Jazzer, a ~4 year old fawn female, placed in Maricopa in June.  Jazzer was turned into rescue when one of her owners died and the other couldn't care for her and another IG, Jacque, and left them outside.  Jazzer was a bit unsure and timid when she first came into rescue, but her cuddle-bunny personality came through quickly.  Jazzer now lives happily on a ranch where she is the only dog and Princess of the Palace, as you can see.

Mocha, a ~1 year old blue male, placed in Peoria in July.  He was found as a stray and his owner never claimed him.  He came into rescue a very sick dog with a full blown case of Hookworm and an additional deep rooted infections.  After several months of excellent care in his foster home, he improved and became the terrific dog he is now.   Mocha, now renamed Milo, enjoys his new home with his new companion, and identical twin, Calvin!   Can you tell which one is which?  Mocha/Milo is on the left.

Angel, 1.5 year old red fawn female, placed in Phoenix in September.  Angel was turned in due to changes in her owner's lifestyle making them unable to care for her.   They were already Angel's third home.  Angel's new home includes a 4 year old companion IG named Blue.  Here is Angel with Blue and her new mom, Akisha.

Bella, a 4 month old blue female, placed in Higley in September.  Bella is a good example of why you should research into IGs and reputable breeders before purchasing.  Bella's owners had her for only 3 days before turning her into rescue, realizing that IGs were more demanding then they expected, and the person they purchased her from had disconnected his phone.  Bella came into rescue with Kennel Cough and a herniated umbilical chord.  Bella was quarantined until her Kennel Cough cleared up, spayed, her hernia fixed, and went into the arms of her new home with a big sister IG.

Mousey, a 7 year old blue male, placed in Las Vegas in October.  Mousey was turned into the SPCA in Las Vegas in June by owners saying they had too many dogs, and he was transported here for foster care.  Mousey weighed 30 pounds when he came into rescue.  He previous owner's told the SPCA that they fed him table scrapes.  That most certainly has a lot to do with Mousey's health problems include low thyroid.  He also has a condition called salivary mucoceles, which is a pouch of saliva on his neck.  Mousey dropped down to 24 pounds when he was placed and was doing fine on thyroid medication.   Here is Mousey with his new family.

Giselle, a 1 year old red female, placed in Albuquerque in October.  Giselle was turned in when her family had a baby, were frustrated with housebreaking, and felt they could no longer care for her.  Lucky Giselle had a party of friends waiting for her arrival from Phoenix to Albuquerque.

Maya, 8 year old fawn female, placed in Payson in November.  Maya had multiple owners in her life (at least 4) and was once a backyard breeder's brood bitch.  Her last owner turned her in because of housebreaking problems.  Maya was spayed and had several small tumors from her belly removed and 38 teeth pulled! She has 4 left. Many of her teeth were so rotted that the only thing holding them in her mouth was the heavy tarter build up. She finally is in a loving home where she will no longer be neglected.   Maya lives with Mini, adopted back in January.
