Mandy, a 5 year old blue female, placed in Payson on January 1st. Mandy was turned in for housebreaking problems and the owner no longer wanted her since they were getting new carpet. Days after coming into rescue, Mandy was diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor. She had successful surgery and a biopsy showed the cancerous tumor as a Grade II. Her new home will watch her carefully for any new growths. Mandy lives happily on her new ranch with senior rescue IGs Mini and Maya (adopted in 2003), and young Bug.

Phoenix, now renamed Frankie, an 8 year old red male, placed in Phoenix in January 3rd. Phoenix was turned into the Arizona Humane Society by owners saying they didn't have enough time for him. AHS called us knowing he would need a special home. Frankie has a terrific personality and gets along with everyone. He is enjoying his new life with an IG named Pearl and two Whippets.

Lola (formerly Emma), a 6 month old blue pied female, placed in Gilbert on March 19th. Lola was purchased at a petstore in Scottsdale and turned into rescue after only a week when her owner 'threw' her across the room when she piddled on the floor and broke her leg. The owner brought her to the vet to be euthanized, but Lola had a lot of guardian angles who convinced the owner to turn over ownership, and she was then brought into rescue. We want to thank Yorkie Rescue in Sedona for helping us out. Here is Lola at 4 months old the day after her surgery on her leg:

Lola spent the next 8 weeks recovering from her broken limb, was spayed, and went into her new adoptive home with fellow IG Sophia!

Dante, a 3 year old blue and white male, placed in Glendale on March 27th. Dante was turned into Whippet rescue in New Mexico when his elderly owner had a stroke. Whippet rescue turned him over to us. Dante is a BIG boy at almost 20-inches and 25 pounds. This sweet and playful boys is enjoying his new life with fellow IG and playmate, Guido.

Jazz, an 11 month old seal and white male, placed in Scottsdale on May 5th. Jazz was turned in by owners that could not afford him anymore. Jazz is a high energy boy and his new mama will be training him for agility! Jazz is enjoying his new life with Dobie buddy Jericho and fellow performance titled IG Flash.

Gracie (formerly Charcole), a 7 month old blue female, placed in Phoenix on May 19th. Gracie was turned in by owners that had purchased her in a petstore and were not prepared for the bundle of energy that they got. Gracie is loving her new home with her Min Pin playmate and is burning off all that energy!

Toby (formerly Tony), an 8 year old fawn male, placed in Tucson on May 22nd. Toby was turned in by owners that had neglected his care and felt they couldn't afford him anymore. Toby is a sweet boy and his new home includes a sweet fawn rescue greyhound named Mini.

Hunter (formerly Sputnik), a 4 year old blue male, placed in Mesa on June 9th. Hunter was turned in by an owner that felt they couldn't care for him. Hunter is a very sweet, big boy and loves his new family very much.

Pippin, a 3-4 year old blue male, placed in Avondale on August 1st. Pippin was found as a stray and turned into rescue when his owner could not be found. Pippin is a good snuggle buddy and also loves to play tug. He's very happy with all the attention he's getting in his new home!

Pepper, a 3-4 year old seal male, placed in Fountain Hills on August 26th. Pepper was turned into rescue for killing pet ducks in a home soon after being adopted by them from the local Humane Society. Pepper is a very friendly boy and is happily playing with his fellow Iggy playmate, Luigi, in his new home!

Mo, an 8-9 year old seal male, placed in Sedona on September 4th. Mo was turned into the Arizona Humane Society by owners saying they didn't have enough time for him. AHS called us knowing he would need a special home. Mo came into rescue weighing 35 pounds! He is on medication for low thyroid and in addition his foster mom put him on a special diet. Mo spent 9 months in foster care waiting for his special home. He weighed close to 25 pounds when he was adopted and only need a few more pounds to go. He now spends his days basking in the sun under the Red Rocks of Sedona, playing his heated swimming pool, retrieving tennis balls, and sharing time with his pal Norton, a 13 year old German Shorthaired Pointer.

Eddie, a one year old red fawn male placed in Gold Canyon on September 26th. Eddie was turned into rescue when his owners who purchased out of the newspaper who were not prepared for a dog that needed so much work on socialization and housebreaking. His breeder would not take him back, so he was turned into rescue, which is another reminder why responsble breeding is so important. Eddie is very shy with people, mainly men, but came a long way in foster care. He loves to play with other dogs and is keeping his two new IG siblings very busy!

Hunter, a 3 year old fawn male placed in Phoenix on October 12th. Hunter was originally purchased in a petstore at 8 weeks old, but was only kept 2-1/2 months and then sold him through the newspaper. He began having seizures when he was two years old and as they got worse, his new owners felt that they were not able to handle a dog with seizures and turned him into rescue. Hunter is a very sweet, loving and playful boy. He is happy to now have his forever home and shared it with a 7 year old female IG.

Hans, a 7 year old seal male, placed in Phoenix on October 12th. Han's original owner went into a nursing home in early 2004. He then went to a home and was there only a few months when they moved and he was given to a neighbor, who turned him into rescue. Hans is a sweet boy and is loves to get the undivided attention of his new owner.

Willow, a 1-2 year old seal female, placed in Phoenix on October 24th. Willow was found as a stray in Seattle, Washington and tranported to Arizona by several special people for placement. Willow is living 'on the road' with her new mama and her many siblings! She gets to share the travel trailer with two IGs and two full-size greyhounds. Willow is a tiny IG at only 6 pounds.

Carmen, a 2 year old fawn male, placed in Phoenix on October 31st. Carmen was turned into rescue in California and was transported to Arizona for placement! Carmen is a bit shy, but is thriving in his experienced home with two rescue greyhounds.

TD, a 9 year old fawn female, placed in Phoenix on November 4th. TD was turned into rescue in Oregon when his owner became ill and was transported to Arizona by a great volunteer for placement! TD is enjoying his golden years with fellow rescue boy Hans!

Sandy, remaned Gina, a ~8 year old fawn female, placed in Tempe on November 28th. Gina was found as a stray in Central California and transported to Arizona for foster care. After being vaccinated, spayed, a dental, and treated for ringworm, Sandy joined her new adoptive home with fellow rescue IG Angelo (adopted in 2000).

Zorro, renamed Bohdi, a 5 year old black pied male placed in Phoenix on November 23rd. Bohdi was originally brought into rescue in November of 2001 by owners saying they were moving. Bohdi was placed in January 2002 and returned in November of 2004 after his new owners had a baby and Bohdi began marking. Bohdi is finally settled into his new forever home with a lovely IG girlfriend named Willow.
