Prancer,a 9 month old seal male, placed in Cave Creek on January 14th. Prancer was turned in by an owner that could not housebreak him. Prancer spends his days being a very spoiled little boy and playing with fellow IG, Sparky.

Hank, a 9 year old blue male, was placed in Cottonwood on February 1st. Hank was turned into rescue due to his owner moving.Hank has a terrific personality and is enjoying daily walks and romps with his new owner and fellow IG, Amber.

Daisy, a 6 year old seal female, was placed in Tucson on February 25th. Daisy was turned in due to her owners health. She is now a very spoiled little princess and doing very well in her new home!

Arthur, a 9-11 month old seal male, was placed in Gilbert on March 17th. Arthur was found as a stray and never claimed. He spends his days frolicking and playing with fellow IG pal, Alice.

Jack, renamed Silvio, a 4-5 year old seal male, was placed in Phoenix on March 20th. Silvio was turned into a shelter in New Mexico and fostered there by IG rescue until he found his home in Arizona. Silvio enjoys playing with his new Chihuahua pal, Calvin.

Speedo, a 10 year old blue male, was placed in Scottsdale on April 7th. Speedo was turned in due to his owners health. Speedo shares his new home with two other IGs, Vinnie and Tino, as well as a Yorkie named Mugsy. His new adoptive family also runs a doggie day care, so he never lacks for attention!

Cola, a 5 year old seal female, was placed in Gilbert on April 23rd. Cola was turned in when her owner went into a nursing home, which is a good reminder to make plans for your pets in case you cannot care for them. Cola shares her new home with one IG, Rocco and a Yorkie named Molly. She fits in perfectly!

Cleo, a 2 year old red fawn female, was placed in Sedona on May 9th. Cleo was turned in by an owner that got her from a friend that no longer wanted her, and the new owners Jack Russell Terrier was injuring Cleo. Cleo was adopted by Mos family (see Placements 2004) and is doing great with her new family.

Jake, a 2 year old blue male, was placed in Tucson on May 28th. Jake was originally adopted from IGCA Rescue in Texas when he was just a puppy, but as he grew up and his owners had a baby, they realized that he needed more attention due to his temperament then they could give him. Jake is happy to have a fellow IG playmate, Marco, that can show him the ropes.

Frankie, a 13 week old blue pied male, was placed in Gilbert on June 4th. Frankie was purchased out of an ad in the local paper. His owner only had him 5 hours when they changed their mind and tried to return him. The breeders of Frankie would not take him back, so he was turned into rescue. Frankie is a sweet puppy and enjoys playing with his terrier friends.

Angel, a 4 year old fawn female, was placed in Phoenix on June 18th. Angel is a special needs dog due to her behavior, and went through many homes early in her life. She now lives with a fellow rescue IG, Enzo, in her new adoptive home.

Max, a 2 year old blue male, was placed in Los Angeles, CA on June 19th. Max was turned into rescue when his owners could not housebreak him. Max does great with a doggie door and is living with a fellow rescue IG, Arabella.

Misty, a 5-6 year old black pied female, placed in Phoenix on June 19th. Misty came from Albuquerque and was one of thirty Italian Greyhounds confiscated from a puppymill neglect case. For more information, visit The New Mexico 30+2. She was turned over to Greyhound Companions of New Mexico by the city shelter. GCNM then coordinated her transport to Arizona for fostering and placement. Misty quickly learned how to be a pet and has settled in great with IG, Harlee.

Toche, a ~1 year old red male, placed in Sierra Madre, CA on June 19th. Toche was originally found as a stray and was not claimed. He now gets to go to California and become a little surfer boy!

Chino, a 3 year old blue fawn male, placed in Phoenix on June 27th. Chino was originally purchased from an ad in the paper and his owner brought him to the County Pound in January 2005 when they no longer wanted him. A woman saw him at the Pound and brought him home. That owner turned Chino into rescue when she could not give him the attention or the financial resources he needed. Chino now lives with fellow IG, Sugar, and is having a great time playing with her!

Thor, renamed Ace, a 14 week old blue male, placed in Phoenix on July 14th. Ace, his mother Mandy, and his siblings were some of thirty Italian Greyhounds confiscated from a puppymill neglect case. For more information, visit The New Mexico 30+2. They was fostered by rescue until the puppies were old enough to be returned and adopted out by the city shelter. The city shelter turned Mandy (see below) and Ace over to IGCA Rescue for placement. Ace is a lucky boy and lives with a great IG experience family. His new family includes fellow rescues Bella (2000) and Tawni (2001).

Mandy, a 5 year old blue female, placed in San Diego, CA on July 16th. Mandy and her litter of puppies were some of thirty Italian Greyhounds confiscated from a puppymill neglect case. For more information, visit The New Mexico 30+2. Her and her puppies were fostered by rescue until the puppies were old enough to be returned and adopted out by the city shelter. The city shelter turned Mandy and Thor (see above) over to IGCA Rescue for placement. Mandy is a very sweet dog with a wonderful temperament. She is now a California beach girl and shares her home with her humans and a fellow IG, Sadie.

Buster (renamed Piccolo), a 1 year old blue male, placed in Camarillo, CA on July 31st. Piccolo was turned in because he was too active for the elderly couple that owned him. Piccolo is loved and adored by his adoptive home.

Caesar, an 8 month old red male, placed in Scottsdale on August 19th. Caesar was turned into rescue by a family that purchased him from an ad in the newspaper and that breeder gave a false address and phone number, so could not be contacted when Caesar wasnt fitting into his new home. Caesar is a very active puppy with a terrific personality. He lives with three females IGs that he uses for playmates and fits in just perfectly!

Guido, a 4 year old blue male, placed in San Deigo, CA on August 20th. Guido was turned into rescue when his owner became pregnant and felt she couldnt care for him. Guido was is a special needs dog as he can escape out of most fences, including 6' block walls. He has been adopted by family that lives in an apartment and has a full-size grey for companionship, which is perfect for him!

Puccini, a 2 year old blue male, and Enzo, a 1.5 year old blue fawn male, placed in Sun City on August 29th. Both dogs were turned together by an owner that didn't have the time for them. These two boys are very charming and are thrilled to continue playing ball with each other and their new owners!

Mira, a ~6 year old blue female, placed in Sun City on September 10th. Mira was rescued by two good Samaritans who saw her running at a very busy intersection in Tempe. She was bloody and wounded, likely from a dog attack. We named her Miracolata, which means 'survived by a miracle' or Mira for short. Mira joins a family of three very friendly dachshunds and one lovable teacup poodle. Mira will be getting a lot of attention with an owner that is home full time!

Little Bit, a ~1 year old blue female, placed in Albuquerque, NM on September 17th. Little Bit was found as a stray and when her owners could not be found, she was turned into rescue. Little Bit now has a great family, including a little brother named Snickers and two people that love her very much! She will never be alone and lost again! As you can see, she is dearly loved and now gets to do her own shopping!

Dente', a ~8 year old blue male, placed in Oakland, CA on September 30th. Dente' (formerly Big Darryl) was one of six IGs turned into rescue due to the death of their owner. Dente' is a perfect gentlemen, loves people and other dogs, and is adored by his new family!

Walter, a ~8 year old blue male, placed in Sun City on November 5th. Walter (formerly Little Darryl) was one of six IGs turned into rescue due to the death of their owner. Walter is a very well-behaved, sweet, mellow dog. He is buring off those extra pounds with his new owner on daily walks/jogs and is doing great! He loves people and is adored by his new owner!

Giorgio, a ~1.5 year old seal male, placed in Phoenix on November 11th. Giorgio was turned into rescue when he broke his leg and his owner could not afford the surgery. Giorgio is one happy puppy, loves to jump and play now thathe is healed up, and likes to cuddle after romping sessions with his IG brothers, Lucas and Gideon.

Belle, a ~8 year old blue female, placed in Colorado Spring, CO on November 19th. Belle was one of six IGs turned into rescue due to the death of their owner. Just like her siblings, Belle is a very well-behaved, sweet, mellow dog. She fits in perfectly in her new home with snuggle buddy, Cailey the poodle, and of course she loves cuddling up with her new mama! Thanks so much to everyone (and there were LOTS of you!) involved in the Iggy Underground Railroad to bring Belle from Arizona to Colorado, her new forever home!

Sassy, a 4 year old seal female, placed in Phoenix, AZ on November 20th. Sassy was turned into when her owner got pregnant. Sassy is a silly girl, just like her name implies, and she has wrapped her new owner aroud her little paw.

Lilly, a 10 month old fawn female, placed in Lakewood, CA on November 27th. Lily was turned into rescue because her owners were moving. Lilly is a happy playful girl who is living quite the spoiled life in her new home!

Brody, remaned Iggy Dew, a 7 month old fawn male, placed in Tucson, AZ on December 10th. Iggy Dew was turned into rescue due to his owner's divorce and having to move. Iggy Dew has two new playmates, Cooper and Hammy, to show him the ropes and keep him busy!

Dino, a 7 year old blue pied male, placed in Tucson, AZ on December 18th. Dino was turned into rescue after he lapsed on his housebreaking when his former owners purchased a new kitten and an Autralian Cattle Dog. Dino has a big grey girlfriend in his new home, along with a very loving family.

Maddi, a ~5 year old red pied female, placed in Prescott, AZ on December 20th. Maddi was turned into rescue when her owner had a new baby, another on the way, and Maddi wasn't adjusting well to the change. Maddi has a younger IG brother, Brutus, and she is showing him the ropes of IG life - playing, snuggling in bed, and snoozing in the sun.
