Comments by owner:
Krum recently bought a Peugeot, which is leaving behind clouds of dust on the Bulgarian roads. Here are his comments:
This is my new car. It's much faster than the old Renault but the fuel consumption is awful :)) I converted the car to work with LPG fuel which is cheaper than diesel and gasoline fuel.  LPG system is Landi Gas Injection System with direct injection.

The car is roomy and the comfort is great! Suspension is soft and at the same time the car is very stable. You can travel on a highway with 160 - 170km without any problem.

Max speed i have tested is 200km/h at 5000rpm.

1st gear tested speed: 80km/h at 6000rpm

2nd gear  tested speed: 120km/h at 6000rpm

3rd - 160km/h at 6000rpm

Extra Info:
The Peugeot 405  was launched in  August 1988 . The 405 was always known as a 'drivers' car in its day, having one the 'best' chassis in its class. In Saloon form, it combined precise handling, superb levels of comfort and rather good steering all of which make it a very enjoyable car to drive.

The 405 came in three main phases.

Phase I - built from Oct 88 until Oct 92.
Phase II - built from Oct 92 until Mar 94

Phase III - built from Mar 94 until replaced by the 406!

My Peugeot is Phase II - 1993.

The difference  between Phase I and Phase II is enormous. The engines are renewed, suspension is different and the interior is absolutely new. My 2.0i 8V - 123 HP engine is most reliable of all 405 gasoline engines.

The top versions are:

405 Mi16 - 2.0 16V - 155HP @ 6500rpm

405 T16 - 2.0 16V wit turbo charge - 196HP @ 6500rpm
