Caitlin was adopted from Pet Pride in 1993 at the age of eight months. She was rescued from a colony of feral cats so there was a sign on her cage that stated, " CAUTION: WILD CAT. DO NOT LET OUT! She may look cute but she can be a little cougar." She has come a long way since then. Caitlin has spent a lot of time at the vets recently, end of September 2006. She needed some teeth pullled in the hopes that would make eating easier. After two blood panels, x-rays, dental work an ultra sound, antibiotics, and steroid injections she seems to be turning around. She's fourteen years old so thing are wearing out.
Bailey was adopted from Pet Pride in 1996. He was estimated to be about one to two years old. He was dumped out in the country and was rescued by the shelter manager. He is a wonderful, affectionage cat and gets along with all the other felines. He's had some medical problems but fortunately they were caught and corrected in time.
Pennie was adopted from National Cat Protection Society May 9, 2001 at two and one half years old. She had been at the shelter since she was four weeks old. She was very shy and was not fond of being touched. I started working with her and she now loves to be petted and combed. She does a lot of flopping in the process. She will sit on my lap but she needs the morning newspaper under her for some reason. She has become quite the wet food eater also.
Nicholas came to live with us September 6, 2006. He is a Ragdoll kitten that we got in Dallas. He was born May 15, 2006. He is the most well-behaved kitten I've ever known. He really is a joy to have.
