    MTU diverges from the OTU at the point where the traitor Dulinor has shot Strephon and Iolanthe.
    Scouts waiting nearby for an audience protect Princess Ciencia at the cost of their lives. She is spirited away by a surviving Scout supervisor.
    The Aslan ambassador attacks Dulinor and his guards for their cowardly act and is killed along with a number of  nobles who attempt to kill the traitor. Dulinor escapes to his waiting cruiser believing he is now Emperor by Right of Assassination.
    Archduke Bzrk joins the Julian Protectorate after long planning when he receives orders to transfer 25% of his forces to battle the rebellion.
    The Solomani attack across the border when they hear the initial reports.
    After nearly a year of setbacks her enemies have come to believe that Ciencia is a paper Empress.
    War with the Solomani, the Julians and Civil war strains the fabric of the Imperium during the next ten years but eventually Empress Ciencia's forces prevail.
    It is revealed many years later that the Scout services in each rebellious area were passing information to the Empress because of her lifelong interest and patronage of the service.
    She begins reforming the Imperium in ways that she attributes to her father and become known as the Strephonic Reforms.
