The “Accidental Muscle” photo:
I had this photo taken as another shot of the new jeans & when I saw it my eyes just about popped out of my head! I always wondered if there was any muscle under all that fat. I’ve been doing strength training since November of 2001. The photo answers that question, but is misleading, as much of the lower arm that you see is excess skin, which may never completely shrink. You can almost see the lines where the excess skin begins towards the bottom. It looks really horrible & hangs down about 2-3”. I don’t wear tank tops in public, & probably never will. The reason I show this is two-fold. One, excess skin that never shrinks is a good reason not to gain weight, and two, this photo also illustrates why one should do strength training.
