Oh my gosh...I can't even choose words that will convey how I felt when I came home to a major surprise tonight!!

My husband sent me an email before I left work tonight, in which he asked if I was expecting any large packages. I told him: "I swear I didn't order anything!!". He told me it was a huge box, and he wasn't kidding either. This box was monstrously huge....I think I could have fit in it. I looked at the return label & saw Queen Q's name & I knew it was the very sneaky workings of the wonderful people on the 200+ board on the WW website! 

Let me say that it was the perfect day to receive this. I'm sure I have never in my entire life received such a gift, or maybe I should say the Mother lode of all gifts....LOL.

It was presented beautifully. There was the biggest basket I've ever seen overflowing with gifts, both wrapped & unwrapped. It took me a long time to unwrap & look at everything, and then there were the cards! I read each one & am going to go back & reread them again & again. Some of you made handmade creations, and each one was beautiful, not to mention my favorite colors! How did you know??? I kept saying to Jim: "Look at this, look at this one!"

There was a large wrapped gift that said that it was to be opened last. I opened it & gasped to see the most lovely clock with an inscription that read:

When I read this, I started to cry. I could no longer hold back. That you all would make such a tremendous effort to do this for me and that every word, every card, and every gift had such meaning was too much. How can any words that I struggle to find now truly say what I want? Yes, I did dare to dream and made Lifetime. One thing that came of my daring to dream was that I now have friendships that will be for a lifetime right here on the 200+ board. I am so privileged to know each & every one of you. Like I always say, 200+ means extra special people. You all prove that day in & day out by your support of one another and the graceful & dignified way in which you travel on your journey. You've been there for me over & over again as I've navigated the sometimes muddy waters of my life. How can I begin to thank you all for that? I am so blessed!

I love you all, and hope you know how much you have touched me today, and all of the days that came before.

PS: And if anyone ever tries to say that the 200+ board is not supportive, I will hit them over the head with my portable bike pump!

Space doesn’t allow me to comment on each as I would like, but here are some notes from the cards & about the gifts:

The cool shirt I am wearing was painted by RitaLou & says: “Kellyscifi, congrats from your WW Board Buddies!”

Tasha picked out a card from her photo collection, which she also gave me as a gift. The funny thing was that I looked at the card collection before I looked at her card. Out of all the various cards in her collection, the one I loved the most was the very same one she picked out to write in for me. It was a photo of a girl with long dark hair riding a horse. She held her arms up as she rode as if she had experienced a great triumph. I felt as if that girl was me.  How perfect, just like all the gifts and cards I received from these wonderful, caring people. I understand that this was a gift for my having reached goal & Lifetime, which happened in a very low key manner. They made sure that I knew that it was not just another day in my life. They made me feel special and very loved.  I don’t know how to thank them all. 

 

 

This page is dedicated to QueenQ (Queron) from the WW 200+ board. She organized & orchestrated this surprise for me.  There is no doubt that she spent countless hours communicating with the board members about it, preparing the cards and gifts, and then the entire package for shipment.  The gift package was perfect in every way in its presentation and content. Queen made sure everyone knew my favorite colors & themes. If anyone ever exemplified the spirit of generosity & kindness, it would be Queen. Her kindness will be returned to her 100 fold!  She is a shining example for all of us.  Long live the Queen!
