In mid-June, I met with two members of the 200+ WW board, Nebraska Gal & Boatless. (Dave) N-Gal is from our lovely state of Nebraska, but currently resides in an evil state, far, far, away. Someday, she’s coming back for good. Dave lives in a small town not too far from Omaha, and when N-Gal came for a visit, we decided to meet. We met for dinner at one of their favorite Mexican restaurants.
Dave & N-Gal are a delightful couple, and engaging as individuals. Dave has the sparkle in his gorgeous green eyes that makes you think of a Dennis the Menace type, all grown up. He has a million hilarious stories to tell and always a new adventure waiting in the wings. There’s never a dull moment with Dave around. Aside of his fun sense of humor, he’s a very kind & considerate person, one who is very easy to talk to & is like an Instant Brother!
Nebraska Gal is as beautiful as she is intelligent. I was jealous that she could look so pretty with minimal (if any) makeup. If I didn’t wear makeup, everyone would run away screaming like the beach scene in Jaws. She too, has a great sense of humor and knows how to keep Dave in line! I enjoyed hearing stories about her current home, but home for her will always be Nebraska. (Smart Gal!) She works with computer & software, and I have no doubt she does a superb job.
Before N-Gal departed, she & Dave called me on the phone & serenaded me with the Happy Birthday song. They are so sweet & funny! I look forward to meeting with them again! |

These photos are from a family wedding we attended on June 28, 2003. Also in the photos are my husband, Jim, and my 15 year old son, Michael. The dress was a bit shorter than what I am used to, so you can see more of my legs, which someone referred to as my “BRAN legs”. :-) |
