Interior GLOBE Officer Elections
Ike agreed to be the nominations committee for this year’s election. GLOBE members interested in serving in any position or nominating someone else for a leadership position should contact Ike Kelley at 703-648-4635.
Current officers are listed below. An asterisk in front of a position means that the incumbent does not plan to continue in the position, so a new nominee is needed.

Maria is waiting for the last submissions and will forward the newsletter to Tami for layout when they are received. It is expected that this process will take about one month. Maria will check with Tami for photos for the June Pride event. Bob will scan in some photos from Jerry as needed.
The Department has planned nothing for World AIDS Day this year. Jay will be asked to check with FedGLOBE to see if other agencies are sponsoring events. Next year we will plan to give the Department a reminder earlier in the year to ensure that there is adequate time for planning an event. Jerry will talk with Mark Oliver, whose office is responsible for special events.
We plan to hold a pre-meeting in early January to discuss an agenda for a meeting with Mike Trujillo in late January. Jerry will discuss setting up this meeting when he talks with Mark Oliver.
The time and location for a holiday event was discussed. Those interested in a holiday social in the Washington, DC area should let Jerry know which of the following options they would like to attend: Lunch only, dinner only, or either option. The event will be held provided there is enough interest, and using the most popular option.
- Lunch at a location near the Main Interior Building – possibly the Corcoran Art Gallery
- Dinner at a GLOBE member’s house on a week night (Monday through Thursday)
