Welcome to the Chrysler 3.0 V6 mailing list. This mailing list was created to fill a gap. This mailing list's mission is to provide support for those of us owning, maintaining or racing 3.0 powered cars. With a collection of owners, we hope to help each other and have a showing of strength for the 3.0. Your moderator is James Dempsey the list owner. If you feel there is a problem that either of us need to know please contact us. Basically this list is unmoderated, but if things get out of control, I will take action. The list is here to provide a source of information and support for the 3.0. Yahoo offers user several nice features. We have a chat area, place to store files/pictures and create polls. Chat times have been scheduled for Sunday nights after 8pm. The chat is unmoderated so you can talk about whatever. Just respect your fellow member. Other features will be kept to subjects related to the mailing list. Mailing List Rules as of 9May02 This is a guide on what is/isn't ok to post about on the Chrysler3LiterV6 mailing list. The rules also help protect the list from unrelated posts that clog and bog down the real intent of the list. These rules aren't set in stone, can/will be changed on the fly and will be strictly enforced by the moderators of the list. New rules will be added as needed. So read the rules, the moderators are watching. Flaming members. This means no personal attacks against another member of the list. If you have a problem with another member of the list, either keep it private or contact the moderators of the list for help. A 5 day suspension will be handed out. If the flaming continues longer suspensions or banning will be handed out. Unrelated Post. Post that aren't related to the 3.0 V6, the cars the 3.0 is installed in, or racing 3.0 powered car. Posts about maintance, repairs or performance will be allowed. Also allowed are posts about 3.0 related venders and bad buyer/good buyer. Posts about how Paypal is great or advertising for a company unrelated to the 3.0 isn't allowed. An unrelated post is a judgment call by the moderators so use some common sense. A 3 day suspension will be given for the first offense. Second offense is a 5 day suspension. Riceboy posts. The list was created to help members fix or upgrade their 3.0 car/van. Many members love their cars to death and don't what to read about future riceboys. That means questions about decals, dual mufflers, neons, white/blue lights, leds, or booming stereo systems won't be allowed. The majority of the membership doesn't care about it, and take ricing out a 3.0 powered car an insult to their hard work. On first offense, author will get a 3 day suspension. On second offense, a 5 day suspension will be handed out. Using Yahoo's Pictures. Yahoo has given use 30MBs of server space to store photos. This is open to the members of the list. If you want to post pictures, feel free to do so. Only thing I ask for. Keep the image sizes below 500pixels and file sizes under 100KBs. This is to keep the 30MBs from being wasted and help protect users still on dialup accounts. Any pictures not following the above rules will get the owner a warning to edit their pictures. After two days and the pictures aren't edited, they will be deleted. Using Yahoo's Polls. We have the option to create polls. This allows us to create a poll to gauge memberships interested in a new part or gather info about the users cars. Please use the polls wisely. If the poll is found not to be related to the list or complaints are received about the poll, it gets deleted. Unsubscribing form the List. This can be a major problem on the list. It stems from people not reading the welcome letter, not understanding how to use Yahoo groups or just plain laziness. If you figured out how to join, then you are smart enough to figure out how to unsubscribe. Any member posting to the list on how to unsubscribe will be banned from the list.
