EXT. CABIN AREA- AFTERNOON
Spade and the MANAGER of the resort peruse the various cabins. The Manager is in
his late forties to early fifties. He is overweight and out of shape as he shows
Spade the cabins. The manager skips past the closest cabin to them, while moving
on to the next one. The skipped cabin is very familiar.
SPADE
Hey, why'd you skip that one?
(The manager stops and looks at Spade.)
MANAGER
We don't rent that one out anymore. Its rumored to be haunted.
SPADE
No shit? A real haunted house? Come on, you're just playing with me, right?
MANAGER
Why would I play with you? Look, I usually can't give this one away, but if
you want to see it, I...
SPADE
Hell ya, I want to see it! Open it up, Chubs.
MANAGER
The name's Potter. Rodney Potter.
(Rodney opens the door to the cabin. Spade pushes his way inside. He takes a
quick look inside the room as a feeling of deja vu overcomes him.)
INT. CABIN- BACK TO PRESENT
Spade begins to shiver, causing his hand to tremble as he reaches for the door
handle.
SPADE
This place doesn't look haunted to me.
MANAGER
Then why are you shaking?
SPADE
Because I don't have a tub of fat to insulate the chill in the air.
