"Be at peace with yourself, if you are not at peace with yourself, you are at peace with nothing." -- Ron Rathbun

WELCOME to Inner Strength Yoga, owned and operated by Laurie Mort.   Laurie's studio offers a soft, nurturing environment where classes are taught with love, compassion, and concern for personal needs.   Her team of certified yoga instructors are qualified to teach in various styles of yoga.   The primary style of yoga taught within the studio is Hatha, which is the physical practice of using postures, breathing techniques, and cleansing methods.   Classes are taught at various levels to cater to the individual's experience within their yoga practice.   Our studio promotes guidance within the poses to ensure personal safety.   We take pride in providing services for special needs, including prenatal, mommy and me, geriatric, rehabilitative, and meditation.   We also offer health-related workshops, nutrition seminars, and support groups for emotional and spiritual well-being. For information on classes and other events offered, click on "Class Schedule/Events" above or click here.

Practicing yoga and meditation simply makes you feel good.   It makes you healthier in body, mind, and spirit.   Yoga allows you to connect with your inner self and tone your body.   You feel better at the end of a session than before you started, feeling more relaxed, revitalized, and at peace.   With consistent yoga practice, life runs more smoothly because you are tapping into your self-awareness and what is important to you.

Laurie's compassionate style stems from her personal path of physical healing from a near death automobile accident at a young age.   Pain alleviation was accomplished through her yoga and meditation practice and keeps her from living the rest of her life in a wheelchair.   She now shares yoga from her heart with others who can equally benefit from this practice.

Laurie is a Certified Yoga Instructor, registered with Yoga Alliance, an international registry for yoga teachers.   She is also certified in meditation, and in "The Lebed Method," a therapeutic exercise program for breast cancer survivors.
