ART IN HAND class locations now include: The Durant Center, The Lee Center and The Ramsay Center in Alexandria, VA; ArtSpace Herndon in Herndon, VA, and the Falls Church Community Center. See the “Class Schedule” page for exact locations, class dates and times, and registration information.

Creative Beginnings for Tiny Tots: Ages 18 mos - 3 years:
Unique art classes specially designed to engage the very youngest artists in developmentally appropriate, process-oriented art. Exploration in drawing, painting, collage, sculpting, and mixed media construction will stimulate the senses, spark the imagination, and support emerging language, social and problem solving skills. Most of all,
ART IN HAND classes provide an opportunity for little ones and their parent/caregiver to be creative, have fun, and make the mess away from home.

Creative Exploration for Curious Kids: Ages 3 1/2 - 5 years:
Like our tot classes, our classes for preschoolers focus on exploration with developmentally appropriate art materials in a supportive environment that emphasizes process over product. Curious kids will have opportunities to create with a wide variety of traditional art media, found objects, and natural materials. All art activities are designed to stimulate the senses, spark imaginations, support the development of language and emerging literacy, and promote social and problem solving skills. Most importantly, the class offers a fun environment where kids and their parent/caregiver can share the adventure of creative expression through art.
