| Stories
of the wedding celebration in Rowes Run, Pennsylvania |
Bill Humbert
spoke of his Aunt Eleanor and Uncle Hank's (James) wedding. He remembers the wedding
celebration lasted about a week. Bill was a young child and he remembers sneaking
out of bed and out of the house, and peeking in a small basement window where there was a
group gathered celebrating the wedding. Bill was trying to figure out how he could
get invited to the party and avoid being sent home to bed.
Eleanor (Humbert) Seksay told the story of a beggar showing up at the door. They
were generous to him as his appearing was considered an sign of good luck. |
