John Kerezsi owned House 672, and at one time, the Hisnanick family rented the other side.

Ron Hisnanick was born in this house.  He live there for five years until 1963.   The Kitchen had a heatrola (a small coal burning stove) There were no regesters in the floors, only grates to let the heat get upstairs.  Ron remembers peeking in them to see what was going on downstairs. The outhouse located to the back of the property had a Kangaroo statue on the vent.

The James Seksay family is pictured in front of the house. He was John Kerezsi’s foster son. I am the little girl in the picture. My brother Jim is in the middle and my brother John to the right. My mother is way to the back walking up the sidewalk. The picture was taken circa 1949. Apa Kerezsi's cellar is directly behind us. He had a huge vat in the basement. He made wine and sauerkraut. I used to love to visit the basement. It was spotless and whatever he was making always smelled great. In the middle lower portion of the porch, you can see the metal flaps that were raised to shovel coal into the basement storage area. My uncle, Paul Kerezsi, installed the siding on this house.  See Family Story/ Kerezsi for more stories about this family.
