Bloom Family---Rowes Run, Pennsylvania
House #338 |
|
| |
 |
This is a picture of Lee Bloom's house, circa 1946. Lee Bloom was
my grandfather.
He was a World War 1 veteran, serving in France.
My grandfather owned both sides of the house.
The house is located directly across and facing the company store.
The house to the right belonged to Jim and Maggie Rafter.
Sitting on the porch is my grandmother, Anna (Walko) Bloom.
She is holding me on her lap. I was about 9 months old when this picture was
taken.
My mother, Louise Bloom is sitting on the swing.
My grandparents, Lee and Anna (Walko) Bloom,
were married in Connellsville, Pa.
Before moving to Rowes Run, they lived on Davidson Hill in Connellsville.
They moved to Rowes Run because grandfather Lee Bloom had found work in the Colonial 3
mine.
Their seven children were born in this house. Their children were William, Leo
(Deceased),
Louise {my mother}, Raymond, Vincent, Ann Marie, and Edward (deceased).
