Jatila
Middle Eastern ~*~ Balkan ~*~ East European Dance

Jatila is a former principal folkloricist and solo bellydancer with the
Middle East Ensemble of the University of California at Santa Barbara,
She is a member of the Oak Park Village Dancers,
Santa Barbara's oldest performing group in authentic,
village-style dances of Bulgaria and Macedonia,
and founder and artistic director of Dzhamala! Dance Ensemble,
of Balkan, Middle Eastern, and Contemporary Dance.

Currently residing in Chicagoland while teaching at Purdue University, Calumet, Jatila is a guest dancer for the 2008-09 season with Ensemble Balkanske Igre, one of the oldest Balkan performing ensembles of Chicago, under the direction of John Kuo.
