FALL GOLF OUTING

November 10-12, 2008

 

 

 

 

 

The Middle Georgia Senior Golf Association is sponsoring a three day golf outing November 10 – 12, 2008. On Monday, we'll play Healy Point; on Tuesday we'll play Fox Run; and on Wednesday we'll play Waterford. Lunch will be served at Waterford after play is completed on Wednesday. The three day tournament will follow the format used at Santee, SC during past years. This tournament will be just like going to Santee without the travel and lodging expense. You can sleep in your own bed at night.

 

Both members and guests are invited and guests may include ladies. Guest must qualify as seniors by being at least 55 years of age. Costs for the three days will be $100 per golfer, which includes all cart and greens fees as well as prize money and lunch at Waterford. Since this is a special event, you must commit to all three days when you enter this tournament.

 

Entries will be divided into flights. Players will be divided into A, B, C & D players depending on the number of points they must pull. Teams will be determined by blind draw of an A, B, C and D player each day after the tournament is played. No one will know who their team members are prior to each daily round. This arrangement will allow participants to choose the foursome in which they will play.

 

Prizes will be awarded to the top five (5) teams each day and close-ups will be paid on all par 3 holes each day. Close-ups will be worth $10 each and 1st place winners will get $66.11 per person provided we have a full complement of 104 players. Prize money will be reduced proportionally if less than 104 players participate. Prizes will be paid on the day following the tournament. For example, prizes won at Healy Point will be paid before the tournament at Fox Run. Fox Run winners will be paid at Waterford, and Waterford winners will get their prize money in the mail following the tournament.

 

 

REGISTRATION: Send a check for $100 for each golfer and made payable to MGSGA and mailed to: MGSGA, P.O. Box 26026, Macon, GA 31221-6026. Register early and be sure to include your mailing address, telephone number and your established points if you are not a member of the MGSGA. Your checks will not be deposited until shortly before the tournament and your entry fee will be refunded if you must cancel for any reason, provided we are notified at least two days prior to the beginning of the tournament.
