This is a group of golfers, 55 years of age or older, who play an
invitational tournament each month on the third Wednesday at some course in the
middle
Participants pay the course fee negotiated for each selected course,
plus $5 to the prize pool, and a $1.00 fee to cover mailing and administrative
costs.
Scoring is by points, i.e., one point for bogie, two points for a
par, four points for a birdie, and eight points for an eagle. Players pick up
and score a double bogie after they lay bogey.
Four-man teams composed of A, B. C and D players, ranked by their
average points, compete for prizes to the three or four top teams. Total team points will determine the winners.
Every other tournament will be played in a scramble format.
USGA rules govern all play and
participants are expected to abide by the rules.
