Henry Schallau (1874-1934) and Rosa (Brecht) Schallau (1871-1950). Henry and Rosa were married in 1901. Their age and style of dress in this image suggest that it is the wedding photograph. Henry and Rosa settled in northwestern Iowa, where they farmed near Sutherland. They had six children -- Irvin, Martha, Alice, Bibiana, Cora, and Rita.
