JCC 5K Race

Time:	8:30 am	Registration for 1 mile and 5K (until 9:45 am)
	10:00 am	1 Mile Run
	10:30 am	5K Run/Walk
	11:30 am	Kids 50 yard dash (no entry fee)

Where:	The United Jewish Community of the Virginia Peninsula 2700 Spring Rd. Newport News VA 23606

Age Groups:	1 mile: ages 6 & under, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15 5K run/walk: ages 10 & under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Race Schedule
On the day of the race, all participants should plan to arrive at Newport News Jewish Community Center, 2700 Spring Road, between 8:30am and 9:45am, rain or shine.
The 1 mile race will start at 10:00 am. The 5K race starts at 10:30.

Door prizes will be drawn after the 5K race while the results are being printed. Everyone is invited to the celebration at the conclusion of the race -- refreshments will be served and awards for runners will be presented.

The United Jewish Community of the Virginia Penisula in Newport News has been hosting this race to benefit the JCC Early Childhood Development Center for over 20 years. Race day is filled with activities for the whole family including a 1 mile fun run/walk, a 50 yard dash for kids where everyone is a winner, and a 5K race for those more serious runners. The 5K Race is a flat “Out and Back” course. We will have face-painting for kids, trophies for various age group winners of the races, and a chance to win great door prizes for the runners.

All registered runners and walker who are at the race are eligible to win ... gift certificates to the Ferguson Center, Destress Express massages, gift certificate to Schlessingers, Dominoes pizza gift certificates ... we are also having a raffle drawing for a Beach Cruiser Bike donated by Contes Bike Shop in Newport News.
