Psalm 27:13 (AMP) , “ What, what would have become of me had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living ! ”

 

 

Understanding God’s goodness provides a firm foundation for our faith to rest upon.  Much has been written and preached in past years on the subject of faith. Many people, after hearing about faith, fell into the trap of focusing on the formulas, steps and principles of faith. But we must realize that our faith is to be centered , not on a principle, but rather on a Person. The person of God.

 

The more we are aware of His goodness, the more we trust Him. The more we trust Him, the easier it is to place our lives into His very capable hands. By placing our lives in His hands totally and completely we open the way for God to save us, bless us and work through us.

 

Many are hesitant to give themselves to Him. They mistakenly think that if they do He might sentence them to a life of boring servitude. A life of no more fun, no more excitement, dull, dull, dull ! Nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is God has your best and highest interests at heart. God is a good God !

 

Walking with God is the most exciting, fulfilling and satisfying life you could ever imagine ! Will you miss out on anything if you follow God ? Absolutely. You’ll miss out on the devil’s plan to destroy your life. What will you gain by walking with God ? Abundant life, life to the full, ‘till it overflows.

Dear Jim :

 

Just wanted to thank you for coming to our church in May. I appreciated so much what you said as I had been suffering for months trying to understand how God’s forgiveness and my bad circumstances that resulted from my wrong choices all worked together.

 

Your message on Sunday really was a turning point for me. God brought to my mind the following scripture from II Timothy 1:12 , “ for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day ”.

 

I know your trip here may not have been financially profitable in worldly terms, but God used you to help me more than I can say. Thank you, thank you, thank you ! God bless you and Stephanie !
