From Chicago, Illinois to Albuquerque, New Mexico, we followed  Route 66, although now it's been replaced by Interstates most of the way. The Mother Road now passes through deserted towns, abandoned motels and gas stations from the 1960's. A fabulous piece of Americana !

The Big Texan Steak House, famous for its 72 ounce steak which is free if you manage to eat it within one hour ! (that's about 2.3 kg for you metric people). The record is held by a certain Klondike Bill who ate two of those in one hour.
