| Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado
From the 8th to the 14th century, the Anasazi indians created these
'cliff dwellings', large villages built in the side of canyon walls. The
cliffs protected them from predators and from the sun in summer. Mesa
Verde National Park has the largest concentration of cliff dwellings. |
