This tin litho prize with a patriotic
theme is one of many that was supportive of America's war effort during
World War II. These spinners were supplied by the Cosmo Manufacturing Company
for distribution in boxes of Cracker Jack in 1941 and 1942. This would
have been early in the war, before rationing curtailed the use of metal
in making Cracker Jack prizes.
The spinner has six raised propellers
which cause the disc to spin and the planes to circle when it is laid on
a flat surface and blown upon. It is approximately 1 3/4" in diameter.
