Sailor Jack Tab-Back Badge

Sailor Jack Tab-Back
This 1931 tin litho tab-back badge was made by Gray Brothers, later Gray Stamping and Manufacturing Company, of Plano, Illinois. It is called a tab-back because there is a tab extension at the top which is folded over for hanging the badge from a pocket or button hole. With the tab folded, the badge is about 2" tall and 1 3/8" wide, toe to toe.

Sailor Jack and Bingo, the Cracker Jack mascots, have changed in appearance over the years, but this version of them is one of the favorites among Cracker Jack collectors.
