Cracker Jack Jig Saw Puzzle

A Boy, A Dog, and a Baseball Game

Admission $1.00
No Dogs Allowed!
This young fellow wanted to take his faithful companion and himself out to the ball game; but, unfortunately, having emptied his pockets, he doesn't have enough change to get in, let alone enough money to buy some Cracker Jack once inside. And besides, the sign says his buddy isn't allowed. Without his pal, how much fun could that be, anyway?

This early 1970's picture puzzle is one of a series of 20 Cracker Jack prizes from the Makatoy Company. These jig saw puzzles have a picture of the completed puzzle on the front and a backing with instructions, plus 4 pages with the 17 puzzle pieces on heavy card stock inside. Before opening, these prizes measure 1 3/4 " x 1 1/4"; the actual puzzles are 3" x 2" once assembled. Some, like this one, are wider than tall, while others are more tall than wide.

Other puzzles in the series include nature scenes, sports, landscapes, animals, an astronaut walking on the moon, and kids with their pets.

Dogs at the Barbershop

There is even this one, in the style of artist Cassius Marcellus Coolidge (1844-1934), featuring dogs at the barbershop.
