This 1 3/4" by 1 1/4" Cracker Jack prize is one of twenty in a series from the 1960's. The cover and seven card-stock paper pages inside are joined together at the top with adhesive and are meant to be pulled apart to create a semi-circular stand-up scene. There is also a backing with directions attached.
Each panel has slits cut on the left and right, either from the top or the bottom, for interlocking the pieces to create the panorama, as illustrated on the back cover instructions.
The other nineteen Picture Panoramas are Alaska Indians, Animals of the Wild, Barnyard Animals, Big-Top Circus, Children 'Round the World, Circus Parade, Funville Train, History of Flight, Let's Go Camping, Life on a Ranch, Manhattan Skyline, Old Time Car Parade, Prehistoric Animals, Riverboat Regatta, Sports Roundup, Sports Car Parade, Sunken Treasure, Wonders of the World, and Western Town.
Although the panoramas are marked "The Cracker Jack Company, Chicago" on the back, company records indicate they are from 1967, well after Borden had become the owner of the product in 1964. Presumably Borden used prizes for a time that had already been ordered when the business was still the independent Cracker Jack Company. Or a supplier for the former company simply failed to use the new owner's name on the prizes. Regardless, since the series sequentially followed other prizes known to be from 1967, the 1967 date appears to be accurate.
