Punch-Out Paper Doll: Little Red Riding Hood

Little Red Riding Hood

This punch-out Little Red Riding Hood paper doll was designed by C. Carey Cloud, copyrighted in 1946 by his Cloudcrest Creations. This prize is one of a series of four paper dolls including a girl with a kitten, a girl with a doll, and a woman with a rolling pin.

The Little Red Riding Hood paper doll is approximately 3 13/16" x 2 5/8" and the others are approximately the same size; they are printed on card stock. There is no printing on the backs, and the prizes are not marked "Cracker Jack."

A similar series of Cracker Jack cut-out dolls was made by the Apt Lithographing Co. in the 1930's. Like the Cloud versions, the earlier ones were to be folded into a cone shape to stand up, but additionally included hats and wigs to cut out and attach to the dolls.

Thanks to Cheryl and Edwin Snyder for the smaller doll images.
