Temperament Testing for Private Clients:

Fee: $90.00
Are you thinking of adopting a new shelter dog for your family? Do you want to help make sure the dog you are considering is a good choice for your lifestyle and home-life environment? Obedience Instructor Susan Parker will go to the shelters with you and do a basic temperament test on the dog you are interested in adopting. This is similar to a personality test in people. It can tell you what the dog will act like in most situations. It can tell you if the dog has a tendency towards dominance aggression or resource guarding. It can tell you if the dog is an extreme jumper that will knock down small children. It can tell you whether the dog is a good choice for a home with children or a home that is planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Because so many dogs have been adopted and then surrendered due to not being a good life style-match, temperament testing will help alleviate many questions before adoption. It also will give you an insight as to what area's of behavior need to be addressed post adoption.

There are hundreds of wonderful dogs in shelters across the country. Please consider adoption from a shelter or rescue.

If you properly care for and obedience train your dog, he will give you a lifetime of unmitigated love and devotion. He will be your best friend and protect you, and your family with his life.
