Biblical answers to questions you and those around you are asking or should be asking.

1 JESUS REVEALS GOD, NOT INFORMATION

Jesus reveals God.  Jesus does not reveal mere information about God.  Rather, Jesus is God and shows us what God is like (2 Cor. 4:4; Col. 1:15; He. 1:3; Jn. 1:18).  That is why Jesus said that whoever had seen Him had seen the Father (Jn. 14:8-9).

2 WHY DID GOD BECOME MAN?

In coming to earth and becoming a man, Jesus showed the full love of God for His people (Jn. 3:16).  When He died on the cross He proved that God would do whatever it took to save His people from sin and death (Phil. 2:5-8; He. 2:14-15).  Jesus become "God with us" (Matt. 1:23; Is. 7:14) to reconcile us to God and thus restore us to right relationship with Him (Ro. 5:10; 2 Cor. 5:18-20; Col. 1:19-23).  God did not take on human flesh just to give us information, but to bring us back to relationship with Him.

3 WHAT DOES GOD REQUIRE?

When Jesus was on earth some people asked Him to explain exactly what it was that God required of them.  They wanted to know so that they could do the thing God required so that they could be right with God once again.  That is of course the question that Jesus (God in flesh) came to earth to answer.  What did He tell them?  Jesus told them this: "This is the work that God requires: Put your faith and your trust in Me".  By saying this, Jesus clearly explained that the way to be right with God is to trust Him (Jesus).  That is what you and I must do now and each moment of our lives (see Jn. 6:28-29).
