As so often happens in genealogy, I have a question about my McKILLIPS line. I had it neatly traced using the census, etc. Then, Bang! I found a piece of information that contradicted my conclusions. I am still not sure what the situation is, but I am presenting both lines in case someone out there has the answer to my problem.

The following is my line. It may be that my William McKILLIPS is the son of Samuel William above, as I had always believed. Or it may be that he is the son of Alexander McKILLIPS as is stated in The History of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. I have not been able to settle this to my own satisfaction.
