The KAO exists to educate the
public about, and explore, the night sky and enjoy the wonderment
that lies therein.
Our members have a wide variety of interests, from astrophotography
to making telescopes. We meet on the third Friday of every month.
May through September, we meet
at Lake Afton Public Observatory. Meetings begin at 7:30.
October through April meetings
are held at the Great Plains Nature Center, located at 6232 E 29th Street N. Meetings begin at 7:30.
Visitors are always welcome!
The best way to become a member
of the KAO is to attend one of our monthly meetings. Dues are collected
in January each year in order to renew or start a new membership.
Dues are pro-rated each quarter until January. Members of the KAO
